What did he say? (I can't view the videos while at work)

Phil said something to the effect of "What is the whole Rob and Amber thing about"

And Lynn goes "You mean Amberexia?" and then laughed like he thought he was quite whitty.

I haven't seen the video you're talking about but I did see them on the Early show and Lynn said exactly that! and when asked about Rob and Amber, Lynn said that Amber was so busy trying to lose weight the whole time she was racing. I thought it was awful! I commented on it a few pages back but nobody mentioned it so I thought maybe nobody else caught them on the early show.

Not defending what they said.
Not saying that it was appropriate to say it.
However, how do you know it isn't true?
And yes, she was skinny on Survivor because she wasn't eating. Everyone is skinny (or becomes skinny) on Survivor.

She probably was trying to drop a few pounds for her wedding (not that she needed to) but that's her business. Lynn and Alex didn't need to be so catty about it. On the insider video I think they actually started bashing R&A before Phil even mentioned them, I believe that's why he asked them what the thing with R&A was all about. They really need to get a life. :rotfl:

Who was the person who had the prizes down to a pattern? It was prize, prize, no prize prize, prize, and this was the next leg, so it would follow that it would be no prize.

That would be me. I figured no one noticed since so many people were surprised that Joyce and Uchenna didn't get anything this pit stop.
If the pattern holds true, the next ones first to the pit stop should be getting something. :)

Sorry guys! I'm fighting a sinus infection and have not been 100%.

"Amberexia" :rotfl2:

I think on the very first episode she told Rob that they would lose some weight and that she hoped she would lose 10 pounds. I thought at the time "From where?!?"

I am very sorry to see The Boys go :(. They were my favorites. It seems so anti-climatic to have them lose because of a lying taxi driver. If the guy actually knew where he was going, they would still be in the race.

Joyce and Uchenna really rock! I was so impressed that she shaved her head. I was equally impressed by his quiet encouragement. I was upset for them that there was no prize for that round. They really deserved something for their efforts. I am liking them better each week.

Ron and Kelly: still "eh" :confused3. I don't like them, I don't hate them. I'm hoping that the POW remark is out of context. I was impressed that Kelly shouted out to the locals to help Meredith push the elephant. She wasn't;t just thinking about herself. I think they had a bit of a splash of cold-water when Rob turned on them over the Indian guide.

Grechen & Meredith: I am beginning to dislike Grechen. I didn't mind her to begin with, but her kvetching is starting to get on my last nerve.

TTWSNBN: Another good round for them. I still hope they lose.

I can't belive no has commented on Lynn and Alex's comment to M/G When they were in the taxi/bike thing and M/G were trying so hard to push the elephant across town one of the guys made the comment "run that elephant over" If that had been Rob saying that everyone would have flamed him for a comment like that. Glad those two are gone!!!!

Of course everyone would have been jumping all over Rob if it were him. It is funny that these two guys can make racist comments throughout the show, make nasty comments about everyone, and threaten to run someone over and some think they are still wonderful. It's sickening. Good riddence. I wish it happened weeks ago!!

I have watched AR since the very first season and every show this season and do not remember anyone not winning a prize when they were first to arrive...Maybe I just did not notice in AR6 but I thought someone won a prize every leg.

I don't understand this comment. I watched the whole episode and don't remember any cross words between Rob & Ron/ Kelly. What did I miss?

not to threadjack...but I think Katie might earn herself a Pringle's Trivia Chip

"Which Survivor lost the least amount of weight on Suvivor Palau?"

i'm not bashing her or her weight (she's healthy/normal IMO)...but she really hasn't slimmed down like other suvivors have.

There weren't any. I mean, R&K noticed that R&A grabbed Sanjay to help them, but I don't think they were really upset about it.

There was a bit of a conflict on who would benifit from the guide. Rob told the guide that he should always stick with TTWSNBN before Ron and Kelly came out for the day. Ron and Kelly tried to get him to come with them a couple of times, but Rob called the guide over and said essentially "No. He's coming with us!" Although they didn't show it, I suspect that Rob asked Ron and Kelly to pony up for half of the fee for the guide and then made it clear later that the guide belonged to TTWSNBN. The "cold water" was the reinforcement of the fact that they cannot trust TTWSNBN.

I thought the guide (a manager at the hotel the teams were staying) offered his service for free?!

Hmm, from what I remember, Sanjay said he'd do it free of charge. I don't remember any money being involved. I also don't remember there ever being a deal made that Sanjay would help them both. Rob & Amber talked to him alone, Ron & Kelly were not around. I didn't sense any animosity between the two teams during Tuesday's episode. Even at the finish they talked about how they liked each other, but they were both extremely competitive & "in it to win it".

Ooops ... My Bad. I forgot that Sanjay (AKA "the guide") said he would do if for free. D'oh. I did get the impression that Ron and Kelly were "in" on Sanjay's services. Rob specifically told Sanjay to stick with him if the two teams were split up. Also, didn't both teams meet up in the morning and leave together? I thought Ron and Kelly acted surprised and a put off when Rob insisted that Sanjay travel and stick with him.

They might have been a little, but they should have expected it, since Rob had arranged the whole thing himself, without them.

In fact, I believe TTWSNBN deliberately chose NOT to share a room for the night with Ron/Kelly. Certaily, it would ahve saved $$ to share, but I think Rob was planning on seeing if he could hire a guide. It was just his luck that he asked the manager where to find one, and Sanjay volunteered. I thought this was a gamble (more $ for the room PLUS more $ for the guide--could be trouble later if they run out of $$!). But it really paid off for them that Sanjay did it for free. Once again it shows how Rob is always playing the game, thinking ahead, strategizing--he's very good at it, whether you care for his style or not.

I jsut had to add, kudos for Joyce for being so brave! And I, too, thought she looked so-so before, but she just looked SO stunning bald! She really did--she just had such a glow and her face was just beautiful! Not saying she should have this look forever, but I couldn't believe how radiant she looked!
