LOL..the only reason you haven't heard that from us, is because we gave up on the 70's parking and moved to the far lot meant for another building. We drove through the 70's parking tonight, and couldn't find one spot. I think when I go home I will change (I booked their vacation for them) my sister's ressie's to Movie's...she will not be happy with the parking, and if she ends up in the 90's I don't think I'll get her to come back to Disney (this is their first trip).

This is going to be changing soon. What you know now as the two 70's buildings parking lot, will turn into parking for the one 90's buildings. The much larger lot that you are parking in now will become the new 70s/80s lot. This should alleviate most congestion.

Is there a way for me to ship this FedEx or Airborne from the resort?
Yes! I don't have the address handy, but it can be found on the Disney website.

Yes! I think she'd love taking the trip down Memory Lane! :)

Is the frozen coke machine just Coke or is there another flavor? and does it change at all?

Hi, Ziggie!

Shoulder length blonde hair and I usually wear a black cap with a lime green ribbon hooked around my Figaro (of course)(smile) pin on it. My spouse has an almost shaved head, and knowing him, lots of beard stubble since his idea of being on vacation means that he doesn't have to shave(smile).

Hope to see you there!

Thanks Figaro! I'm going to look for you and your Hubby so I can say "thanks for the map link" in person :) :sunny: :Pinkbounc

I am still hoping someone will finally answer the roll-away/cot question! I have seen this question asked several times and I have even asked it myself on another thread. Please have MERCY, we are all speculating and don't have the official answer. I am curious why this is so taboo. Some have even reported that they called resorts, were told no roll-aways were available and arrived to find them available.

I am really confused(and worried about one bed for my 5 and 7 yr olds) It doesn't seem fair to suggest two rooms for a family of 4. Please help, "Oh ones in the know!"

I'm sorry to say that I do not have an answer for you. I have seen them around the resort, but I know they're not available for general use.

Being a Value resort, there really isn't any room large enough to put an extra bed.

We were able to get a rollaway bed @ All Star Sports in the handicapped accessible room with the king bed. We have also requested one for our stay @ Pop Century & they never mentioned that they weren't available. Maybe it's something that they have but don't advertise. We definitely need one for our friend Steve's night nurse @ Pop Century in Feb. I will mention it again when I call specialized functions. Cathie & The Gang

Do you have an aerobed that you can bring? I know that they take up room in the luggage, but we bring ours if we think we might need the bed space or the kids don't want to share. It's easy to inflate and can be folded down easily during the day if space is at a premium.

there was another flavor I tied..I think it was red or orange..I could tell wha the flavor was, and I dumped it. The machine was out of order again last night : )

I haven't seen any rollaways at this resort so far. I have at All Stars..and at that time, they were $15 a night, and not always available. They didn't seem to have many.

Thanks for the help! I had a feeling this is one of those things that will go in the unknown file ;) I will probably break down and pack one of the inflatables. We are required by my husbands work to fly stand-by which always makes me wary to pack a lot(meaning if I'm not carrying it, it may not get there!) That is why I have always counted on the roll-away deal. In all the other resorts/ hotels that we have stayed in, it wasn't an issue. Most of the places have been at DL or regular chain hotels.

Any ideas for where to get an inflatable inexpensively? We are not campers and will probably never use it again. I assume you either have to bring a sleeping bag or sheets for these inflatables?

Merci

since the bed's are not movable I do not think you would have room for any thing like that...it would have to be about 2 ft wide at most and you could maybe move the table and chairs to in front of the window and squeeze it in there but it would be kind of a safety hazard imo in case of fire or something cause I really think you would have a hard time getting past it. the rooms are large enough as they are imo but not really big enough to add another bed. you probably would be better off at another resort if that extra bed is a necessity ....unless you can get a king and maybe bring two beds but that seems like a big hassel to me.

we had no problem what so ever with parking in the 70's lot but didn't move the car once we got there so maybe over the 16-19 weekend it would have been a problem. there were cars parked by the curb when we arrived the 9th at 8:30 pm but also plenty of parking spaces so?????

Tyler,

I just booked 3 prefered rooms @PC for April. I requested a 1st floor room (6 kids 3 in strollers!) I read somewhere that ALL first floor rooms are smoking. Is this correct? I sure hope not!!!

Thanks

We stayed there in Dec and had 1st floor rooms, both non-smoking. You should be OK. We will be there again in April also.

Doesn't sound like it will fit, anyway, but aerobeds can probably be bought at Target, etc. We bought ours online and really like having it. My kids use it for sleepovers and we use it for overflow guests (we have a sleep sofa and a rollaway, but sometimes have too many guests for those). And then, of course, it comes in handy on vacation.

Nope, not even close. :)

Target..it was on sale (a twin one) for $15, and then about $7 for the electric blow up thingy. You can get an extra set of sheets (just double them) and blanket, etc from housekeeping.

I'll be doing my full Pop review in a few days..thought when we first checked in, it would replace POR as my favorite..but although it's a cute resort, that won't happen. We would go back, but unless I know for sure our temp gauge would be changed, it wouldn't be in the hot weather. It was 78 outside today, and warm in our room...had to prop open our door to cool off. We parked in the (for now) 80's lot, and although it was further than any other hotel we have ever stayed in, it wasn't too bad for two adults...in all honestly though the parking at the deluxes are further I think. Heard lots of complaining from people carrying sleeping kids though.

I'm guessing that's a typo... it was only a high of 68 today. It doesn't take long for maintenance to come and switch out the thermostat, if you want the room to go below 68 degrees. By the way, as a side note, not sure, but my guess is that French Quarter got these new thermostats during the rehab.

And you are correct, most parking for the Deluxe's would be further... unless you count Valet. But, even with Valet, certain Deluxe's might have distances to walk (ie, Poly, Grand)

The Target idea is a good one for the inflatable. You mentioned extra sheets from the hotel. Is that O.K. with them if I only bring the inflatable and not the sleeping bag too? That would save considerable space in my luggage.(I am luggage deficient!)-occasionally brain deficient as well, come to think of it. I am rambling...

I would be willing to break the thing down every day if it is too tight for space. My kid's having a good night sleep is all to important to me. Everyone's input has been helpful-
Danke shoen!

No, no typo..except I'm actually a day behind as I'm up til the wee hours playing catch up..that was the 21st (Wednesday), not Thursday (sadly I'm home now)...and our car thermometer said 78 and so did the car radio...Looks like it's going to hit 80 on Monday! Guess it was cooler on Thursday.

We wished we had left out shorts out, as it was the hottest day we had been there..I don't understand the temp thing..we were all joking in the airport about the sudden rise in temp as we left..did you look at the temp on Wednesday??

By the way, we didn't call, so I guess that is our fault..we didn't expect it to be as warm as it was. If maintenance will come and change it, why don't they just replace them all?

DH and I will be visiting WDW very soon.. and I was wondering how I might get to meet Tyler? Where does one look for him? He was so sweet to post so much helpful information here.. I would like to say "thanks' in person princess: :wave2:
