The all New *OFFICIAL JUNE* 2011 thread! Some like it hot!

I was plugging along getting all kinds of things done and then my grandfather unexpectedly passed away last week. This threw my whole family off. He wasn't young (everyone must think this matters because they keep saying, "At least he lived a long life"), but it was still not expected. In any case, I think I have fallen behind a little with things. I am taking a day off of work soon just to recoup and get myself back into the hang of things. We went out of town and then came back and there are mounds of laundry everywhere. I just need to get some thing accomplished. I need to finish the kids autograph book, but need more plastic pages. I also really need to get the countdown calendar up and going. Then I need to pack some things that we only use for Disney. I have to get in gear.

Sending prayers your way!! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Compliments? I got 'em. Toomanycars...your graphics are phenomenal. The best I've ever seen. Your maps and list compilations complete our thread. Can you pretty, pretty, pretty please with Mickey on top make one of those for AKV? I'll be your forever friend...:worship:

I will make it better later tonight. Puting the kids down now.

We got our luggage tags and itinerary yesterday!! The new tags are cute, but hurt my eyes. Now this trip feels official. Can't believe we will be there in a month!!

Congrats! I am super duper jealous as we are still awaiting ours!! We'll just keep running to the mailbox every day :lmao: :lmao:

That is terrible! People really don't know what to say in these situations! I will never forget the time that I spent with my loving, caring, over sensitive wonderful grandfather! That I have lost something so dear to me and the world has lost something that it didn't know it would miss!
My advise, stop... Breath.... And remember... Cry.. Scream... And laugh!!

Good that you have some time before you leave.

So sorry for your loss  It's never easy to lose someone you love, whether they've lived a long life or not, if it's expected or not. Hugs to you!

A little different.

Has anyone seen the crowd calendars lately for May 30 - June 3?

We're in countdown mode, but with all of the banquets, concerts, prom, birthdays, and graduation going on this month I'm just SO glad that I have all my planning done for the trip. We leave the day after my daughter's HS graduation so it's still pretty much a whirlwind.

only one I've seen is the one linked on the first page. :confused3

Anyone else plan on doing SWW at DHS? We're gonna go on the last Friday, june 10th. My kids want to do JTA so we'll hit that first and send someone over to get FP for ST2. I'm a little nervouse about the crowd that day, of course DHS is a park to avoid but my son loves Star Wars so I figured we should do it once. Hopefully the force will be with us, we have Park hoppers so if it's insane we may go to EPCOT in the evening.

:cool1: Well the remaining park hoppers arrived yesterday from UC. So now we have our tickets (well I have a voucher I have to turn in for my Annual Pass) and so do my in-laws. Let's just hope I don't forget them. :rotfl:

Although I swore I was NOT going to change any more reservations...well I did. So I have now CANCELLED our 6/18 Grand Floridian Cafe reservation and in it's place I have scheduled TWO Kona Cafe Reservations for Friday 6/17 and Saturday 6/18, both around 6:45pm. :rotfl2:

We just LOVE the Kona Cafe. I have a meal already scheduled for Friday June 24th but that's our last night at Disney and I'm not sure I want to spend time sitting at a long dinner. So we have these other two ressies on our Universal Park Days. I'm just not sure how much time we'll truly spend at either of the Universal parks :confused3 so we'll hopefully make one of these two ressies.

That's it...no more changes for me! I swear! :rotfl:
