Just checking in. We made it through the storms. Devastation in all the surrounding areas. We were very fortunate to only have suffered the loss of power. Youngest niece had some trees down, siding ripped off and kids swing set tossed across the yard. Oldest niece's place is okay but they had gone to a neighbors to seek shelter during the last wave of storms and the house they were in was destroyed.....all that's left standing is the laundry room and bathroom - they all came out of it without a scratch. Many friends in the area have damage.

To all of you in affected areas....my thoughts are with you. We went through major devastation with the flood last year and it's unbelievable how it affects you even when your personal space is safe.

I live in North Central Alabama and my town was destroyed. We are so lucky to be OK and still have a house standing. We have been without power for 2.5 days now and not expecting it to be back up for several more days. My phone and internet just came back on today and I have battery back up on my modem (Yeah! Can't go without my FB and DIS!!! )

Excited to log on and realize I only have 40 days to go now though for Disney!!! We will be even more excited for our trip now! We need the get away!!

Need some advice ya'll! We are trying to do a park a day but I don't think it's going to happen. And we would like to have two days at MK.
Our schedule:MK...HS...waterpark...AK...MK (for our last day).
We don't have room for Epcot! I was thinking of at least squeezing it in for half a day but I really don't want to pay for park hoppers for one day. What should I do?! I don't want to cut out the waterpark day (I think we'll need a break from the parks & later that evening the kids will be going to the Neverland Club) I've seen that the park most people cut out is AK.

How old are your kids? It's a tough choice. Ak has a couple of really good shows and the Safari. Everest is really good but if your kids are too short then that won't matter. You can also meet a lot of characters at AK. Epcot has Soarin and Test Track for 40 inch kids along with a few more rides anyone can go on. My daughter loves Innoventions also. The countries are fun but I'm in the camp that says they're more for adults.
