Oh my! I can't imagine only one day for MK!! :cutie: How about skipping the rest day and taking some time at MK that day? Or since DHS is your least favorite park, skip it all together and make that a MK day. :confused3 Just my thoughts. We're going to MK 4 days of our trip, so maybe I'm just a bit MK obsessed!

So you understand my need to be in MK a little :rotfl2:

If sleeping in isn't a big deal, than I would say go for rope drop on that day and stay until 12. I just think with only one MK day, you might be cutting yourself a little thin. And since there are more people in June, it might be hard to do everything that you want to do in one day. :thumbsup2

I talked to DH and we are going with this plan. Since we had an extra dining credit we are going to go to 1900 PF for breakfast and get to MK afterwards.

Ok. my opinions are in blue. Hope we're still DISfriends after this. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Of course we're still Disfriends, I appreciate the feedback!

I'm going to look at the Dessert Party as a warm up. Wishes is at 10 and MK will be open until 11, so I'm going to use it as an opportunity to just soak up being there.

I put this as our last park for multiple reasons. DS will be taking a class that morning at Epcot, we won't get to DHS until 11:30. And while DHS is not a favorite park we do really like Fantasmic! It has been a few years since we saw it, so I booked a F! lunch at HBD. IMHO Fantasmic! is very, very Disney and always makes me happy, a good way to end our trip :goodvibes

Plan ahead at least a little bit. We had a cousin that went last summer and couldn't find places to eat and ended up driving to Universal Studios because they thought it was part of the Disney parks.

I am starting to worry i planned TOO MUCH. but i know i didn't.. just not used to having to have reservations for dining. :confused3

anyone else used to just winging your vacations and worried you planned too much for WDW?

just booked wishes Dessert party for june 12 at 9pm. I'm really looking forward to watching the fireworks and trying out the desserts. My husband didn't want to do it, so I'm not gonna tell him until we get there, ;). It's the only late night we will have planned, every other night we can be flexible if the kids decide to crash. We're more morning people so I'm hoping they can make it one late night. The park has EMH that night too so we could stay longer if we want.

By the way, 72 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

I wanted to share the shirts DD and I made for our trip.....

We are officially tie-dye addicts! DD wants to make one for every day of our trip (10 days)! Ambitious, isn't she!!!:rotfl2:

Tonight I have to stay up to book port excursions for the cruise portion of our trip! Gonna be a late night!:surfweb::surfweb:

:thumbsup2 OMG those are GREAT! I have never tried to tie-dye but this is making me want to try now!

The first time we did a "plan" I was really nervous. But in the end it left us to be so much more relaxed because we always knew what park we were going to, and where we were eating. Instead of wasting brain power every day trying to think about these things it was already done for me.

that said, we always gave ourselves the freedom to say "nah, don't feel like going to XYZ to eat tonight" The only thing did not veer from was 'best' park mornings. We made sure we kept those days as planned. Evenings we allowed flexibility. But that is more how we tour - we do our rides in the AM and then ambiance in the evenings.

What are your top five Disney "Must Do" attractions?
Haunted Mansion
BTMRR
Expedition Everest
Toy Story Mania
Tower of Terror

2) What are your top five Disney "Must Do" restaurants?

California Grill
Hollywood Brown Derby
Chef Mickey's
Main Street Bakery
Columbia Harbour House

VERY tough one...we are trying out Bay Lake Tower for the first time this trip so maybe that one since I LOVE being so close to the MK! Otherwise we really loved our stay at the Poly as well so I know my DH would pick that one. I also love the Boardwalk area hotels...like Boardwalk or Beach Club!

4) If I was at Disney right now, I would be eating ....

Probably a Dole Whip!

5) What is your favorite Disney trip tip.... (ex. packing tips, park tips, whatever you have to share)
There have been some great ones here so far...like packing the ziploc baggies. I do that for leftover food and snacks...usually carry a few sizes. I tend to ALWAYS pack the ponchos for our trips and carry them...of course on our May 2009 trip it did not rain ONE time the entire week we were there...that must be a FLA record! I had the ponchos packed every day! I just can't stress having some kind of a plan...even if you change it later...and dining reservations at least once a day especially if you travel with a large party...we usually have seven with us, ten for this upcoming trip. Even if we don't keep them, it's good to know we have a nice sit down place to eat dinner once a day. Most of all take the time to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere...which I feel we never do enough!

Just made DD's ressie for Harmony Barbershop today -- how did I miss that they take appointments now??

Luckily, someone mentioned it in their trip report or I would have never caught that :thumbsup2

Cute shrits CSwan1!! Those came our really good!

Thank you! We had a great time making them and can not wait to do more!

:thumbsup2 OMG those are GREAT! I have never tried to tie-dye but this is making me want to try now!

It was actually easier than I thought. The hardest part was sewing the Mickey head--- Very Time Consuming! And waiting the 24 hours to rinse them out! We we so anxious to see them!

Love the Mickey tie-dye!

Thank you! We are going to try more tonight! Might even attempt a Disney Cruise Line logo as we are cruising as well on this trip!

See that is what I am HOPING happens. that it turns out fine, and work just fine. Yet, I am afraid I will be more concerned about tyring to make our ADR's to enjoy the time. yet, I know having them is going to be great because we nearly didn't eat last year, because I DIDN'T plan set 'we have to go eat' times. :rotfl:

plus I paid for the dxdp, so I want to EAT! (and I love to Eat!)

I am just second guessing plans now.

I planned a day in DHS with meals (play and dine, sci-fi dine in) yet now, after reading a bunch of trip reports I am re-thinking my lack of epcot.. but we couldn't have THOSE meals, at epcot... I just need someone to drop a few thou in my hand so I can extend out stay ALOT. :lmao:

[/LIST]

Now that's really using your noggin! I never thought of doing that, but it makes perfect sense and would speed things along nicely!

I'll play too:
1) What are your top five Disney "Must Do" attractions?
- Everest
- Soarin'
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Space Mountain
- Teacups (for nostalgia's sake!)

2) What are your top five Disney "Must Do" restaurants?
- Sunshine Seasons
- Tepan Edo
- Aloha Isle (can you say Dole Whip!)
- Earl of Sandwich
- Flame Tree BBQ

3) If you had to live in Disney, which hotel would you live in?
- Old Key West - it's so big and home like (at least the 2 bedrooms)

4) If I was at Disney right now, I would be eating ....
- a chocolate chip cookie sandwich from Sleepy Hallow!

5) What is your favorite Disney trip tip.... (ex. packing tips, park tips, whatever you have to share)
- Make it to rope drop - it really saves you from long lines!

Got a pin and booked a last minute trip may 31 - june 4 at all star sports. Havent been in the summer for years and never with my son but still excited!:cool1:

I've seen some reviews and pics about the Wishes Dessert Party at MK & am thinking about it but is it worth it? For the 5 of us it'll be close to $100 so I'm wondering is it really worth it? Anyone been?
