About the whole car thing.... (WARNING: this might go on for a while, I don't know yet...)
My parents bought a Mazda Protege' in 2000 for my dad. At that time, they weren't thinking about that car being for me, but since my dad is loosing his job on October 1st, it might be. However, the Protege' is rather worn down with over 92,000 miles on it with cracks in the windshield and the engine makes noises and the engine hesitates when you accelerate, so my parents want me to have another car. Of course, this is all fine and dandy with me.

When my bro turned 16, he got a 1988 BMW Convertible, but it kept on breaking down, so they got him a plain white Toyota Tacoma when he was 17. I know 'life isn't fair' and this seems rather selfish of me, but I, like any other teenager, wants a new car, not a hand-me-down. But with the Protege' having as many of miles on it has it does, and we still have 1-2 years left on the purchase, it's not being appraised for much at all. I'm trying to be nice and mature and act like the 15 years and 11 month-old girl I am, IT'S SO HARD!!! They had gotten my hopes up before in April, a week before the gas prices shot up sky high, saying that they were going to get my mom a new car (trading in the mini-van because the lease was up), and then my dad would keep the Protege', and I would get a new car. But with the gas prices and my dad's job (driving around the county, addressing houses and businesses that are located outside of the cities), they decided to buy him a hybrid vehicle, therefore veto-ing my new car idea. This happened a week before the county didn't put my dad's job on the budget for the next week... Yeah.... I'm sorry this is long, but you see how it is, I hope! It would be good if I could get some PD for my dad and his job search! TIA!
