As always, thank you for your knowledge! I thought I might be able to swing Chef Mickey's, but I don't want to be rushing. I guess we'll just sleep in a little and catch a bite at the airport! Not much time to do anything special since we're leaving too early! :sad2: Maybe while DD is sleeping, I can wake extra early to watch the sun rise...although this brings me to another question...from the MK view rooms, do you see the sun rise or set, or both? I can't picture what direction it faces!
Also, I loved the turndown service at the Poly...if you ask your mousekeeper, do they do this for you if you are not staying club level? It was such a nice touch!

There might be a few MK view rooms with a view of a sunrise. It would be off to the right. Should have a great view of the sunset over GF.

Bay lake is directly east of CR...so while there is a seasonal variation to the angle of the sun...in general you need a bay lake view to see the sunrise. Here is a picture from our trip last April.

We're on the 6th floor. My only complaint is that we can hear the monorail, but it's not bad.

We had contempo cafe for lunch, and I had the smoked turkey sandwich with the brie, apples, arugula, and apple butter on challa bread. That was the best sandwich, really really good. Both dhand I got it, and dh enjoyed it too.

We are really enjoying the resort. Monorail service is good, but it was packed trying to get to mk for mnsshp last night and that was around 5:15. Today is an epcot day after chef mickey's so we'll see how that goes.

Again I'll be posting from Twitter with pics as mentioned above. :yay:

Wow, I love the sunrise picture! I can see why so many people book the bay lake view! Even though I'll be on the sunset side, looking at Craig's pics make me want to make sure that we'll be in the room at least once so we can watch the sunset...absolutely beautiful!

Now in Craig's pic, I can see some of Main Street I think. We'll be there in February when the MK closes at 8pm. I was wondering how late they keep on the lights in the park? I'd love to watch the MK in action after DD goes to bed, but the park will already be closed! Are there any attractions they keep lit all night?

I remember seeing the lights staying on well past the Magic Kingdom has closed.

I remember seeing the lights staying on well past the Magic Kingdom has closed.

the nights in may when we were there, the castle lights were on and some nights the main street train station lights were on all night along w/ the main street lights. the lights on the disney bus stops were off in the mid of the night. you realy dont see anything going on in the park after hours. for some reason i allways thought they would turn on big lights,:lmao: but it realy does look closed over there.

I've been reading about the cartoon channel 96. Is this channel available at CR? Also, the internet in the rooms is wired, isn't it? DH just started an online class and may have to finish it up while we are at WDW. TIA. BTW, the pictures are just stunning!!!

WOW those pictures are fabulous!!!!

We leave for our first stay at CR tomorrow morning!!!:dance3: cant wait!!

Wow! Great pictures. I have a question, I booked about a month ago for Sept. '10. I haven't received anything in the mail from Disney. Is this normal? When I went last year I got an invoice and envelopes to send payments in. Thanks for the help.:goodvibes
