Hi , I was hoping that someone could tell me whether or not the rooms at the Contemporary have drawers in them.Thanks for your help

There are also small drawers (about 4?) in the closet with the safe.

HI all! we just got back from a great weekend at the CR. I took some new pool photos, marina photos, fantasia market photos and chef mickey's photos.
I'll post them up as I get them proccessed. BLT looks AWESOME!!! It looks complete and fits together with the contemp perfectly! it looks like they did an awesome job.

OK, so our our surprise was a BIG hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The balloons floated out of the box, right on cue (wish I got a better picture of his face though!!) Then he starts yelling "Look! Mickey stuff!" So I told him to read the note taped to the gift basket...

DS: Happy 6th Birthday! Surprise, we are going to Walt Disney World on Tuesday!

Me: Nope! We are going to the Contemporary for your birthday!

Thanks! He's a good man and works hard... he deserves it, really!

I hope that I'll be able to keep it a surprise! We've already got a trip with the kids planned for October, so he shouldn't get suspicious if Mickey Mail arrives. (The three-day weekend will be just us two.) Also, I hinted that I might want to attend a professional conference that's being held at the CR in the Spring, so if for any reason he overhears me talking about the resort, I can use that as "cover."

Because of that same conference, I'll be able to purchase APs for us in October and he won't get suspicious.

Maybe he'll be so overcome with gratitude that he'll say we can go for the conference weekend, too!!

Anyway, I booked a BLT studio, Bay Lake View, using cash and the 25% DVC Member discount. If any good AP discounts are released, I may switch over to the CR Tower in a king bed room.... whichever rate turns out to be the best!

I've been looking at the CR Resort Pix Thread and I'm really getting excited about our stay!!

What time do the monorails begin running in the morning? I'd like to go as early as possible to the Poly for breakfast. Any option for early morning travel besides the monorail?

I believe that that start to run about an hour before MK park opening. I think... but you only other option would be to take a taxi... (I think the buses start an hour before park opening too)

Speaking of BLT, did they add any guest parking, or take away from the cast parking? Parking at CR has always been very tight, and I know they put that nice new drive through the parking lot to the main BLT entrance. I realize that until BLT opens, it won't be a problem, but I just wondered if anyone who has been there recently has noticed whether the CM's are still parking at the resort, or if they are parking somewhere else so there will be more room for guests.

I believe once Bay Lake Tower opens that will open up some parking spots in front of it that the huge wall around them that took them away. However they might have kept those brand new self parking spaces in front of the Tower that use to be valet parking spots. Plus if it wasn't for us not being able to find a parking spot in the regular north parking lot in front of Bay Lake Tower back in December 2008, we never would have known that they added more spots the whole time we were there and I guess they had them in August 2008.

I just added Club Level tip #6 to the 1st page and here it is.

The Contemporary IPO Cast Members are also the Grand Floridian IPO Cast Members, so that means they help Club Level guests of both resorts before they arrive, which could be one reason they don't respond to your calls or e-mails. Now that is not an excuse because they should be able to help all their guests, so it might be a reason why they never respond back to you.
