Oh my, sometimes 7:00 just seems like the crack of dawn. It doesn't matter if it is Mickey on the other end of the phone, lol, we all wanted to just hang up on him and go back to sleep. But, knowing that we had a super full day of fun to look forward to we dragged ourselves up and out of bed. I put on two tons of moleskin and braced the ankle, the boys grabbed some pop*tarts and we were out the door.
We wound up getting there a little after opening, so we headed straight to Fantasyland. There was finally a manageable wait time for Snow White. Unfortunately, another family got into the same car as us and decided to shreak the whole time trying to out-witch the others. Why people can't just enjoy a ride I have no idea
Next we grabbed FP for Pooh and did the Fantasyland Tour. After hitting all of the major rides, we headed over to Tomorrowland to do Buzz. We got a great picture on the ride, but I lost the card and never did get to order it. Just another reason for us to go back.
About this time, the heat of the day started to get to us. We had lunch at Pinnochio's again and then headed over to Main Street to meet the rest of the families for our tour.
The tour was great. We had a very friendly cast member named Greg to show us around. We hear a little about VMK and put on head sets to hear better with. Then it was off to Jungle Cruise where we had a boat driver named Joe who was awesome. They really played off each other well and we heard more about the history of the ride than the old "two heads for one of yours" speech.
Next it was on to BTMRR, fast pass line. We all got on the train and had a wild ride down the mountain. I LOVE THIS RIDE!! Then we went over to Haunted Mansion, straight through the servants door. It was a blast. Somehow the ride feels better when you are wearing special pins and headsets. LOL
Finally the tour was done and we headed back to the Cinema. Just enough time to take a rest before dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. Dinner there was just wonderful. Like a Thanksgiving feast with no cooking and no dishes. The character interaction here was great as well. DS espescially loved seeing Chip and Dale and their crazy antics.
After dinner we again donned ponchos and headed to Haunted Mansion, Pirates, IASW and Carousel of Progress, all walk ons. We also did Stitch....never riding that again. All that time and money and that is what they came up with?! It was just bad.
Finally, around 9 we grabbed a Dole Whip (YUM!) and citrus swirl and picked a bench before the big Adventureland sign. PERFECT SPOT TO SEE WISHES!!
Wishes was just beautiful and it made DS and DH realize how bad the local fireworks really are. After wishes we ducked into the shops for a bit and then went back to the hotel. My feet were killing me, but I got lots of VMK goodies and a Dole Whip....it was totally worth it
We were all ready for a good nights sleep, tomorrow we had a date with a Big Hat
