The Adventurosity Club

Well, this is COMPLETELY off topic, but since I don't think we are exactly ON one right now I just have to share some excitement....we don't get much around here so I'll pass on a few highlights!

Forrest will be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society tonight and has won a couple of academic awards the past couple of weeks. Plus...he ROCKED his guitar recital as he played Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer! :rockband:

Alyssa just found out yesterday that she made her Middle School Cheerleading Team.....she worked SO hard and we are SO proud of her! And, she had her art show last week and won a few high awards too..... I'm so jealous of her art since I cannot draw a straight line! She's so awesome!

And today my friend from WAY back in my performing years is coming into town. We were always "Fred and Ginger" (boy I hope you all know who I am referring to) I haven't seen him in 16 years! Wow, where has the time gone? Wait till you hear his name.....are you sitting down? Kipper Hair

Seriously...that's his name! :) He is a hoot and I can't wait to see him! He'll be leaving tomorrow night so it's a quick reunion, but it should be fun.
Anyway, so I just thought I'd share a bit since there has been a brief interruption of our black cloud.

Hope to hear from you all soon! :confused3

Sorry to be quick but got to get lunch going --

YAY for you!! Very cool when your children excel. We know they can meet their potential and are thrilled when it shows.

Kipper Hair -- is that a stage name???

Fred and Ginger -- hmmmm, were they cartoon characters??:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Which brings me to my final point -- when I took DD2 through the Great Movie Ride, it hit me that there are sooooo many good movies and people that she will know nothing about (unless I share them with her). John Wayne, Alien, Wizard of Oz...

thanks! I can email you a pic today....but no rush!

okay so I didn't email it yesterday...sorry. When I get home today I will send one. :thumbsup2 I don't have any good pics at work.

You have talented children!! I probably completely missed this, but I will ask anyway...how old are they?

Kipper Hair?? Is HAIR his last name???

Hey guys! Check out my siggy!! Cat did such a great job - even gave me a haircut to match my current 'do!!

Mrs. Fleagle - it sounds like you've got a very gifted family. Of course, look where they come from - why would we expect anything less??? :cutie:

Thanks Cherbear! Oldest son, Forrest, is 13 going into the 8th grade. Alyssa turns 12 in June and will be going into the 7th grade. (they are 17 months apart). Then I have Elizabeth who is 5 and will be going into 1st grade and the baby, Dawson, is 2 and will start preschool a couple mornings a week. Wheww...I think I got them all.

And Kipper Hair is REALLY his name. He is as unique as his name!
:worried:

They must have changed it then.... it first started off with smaller aquariums of other nasty guys... eels, barracudas, etc.... then you went down a small hall and on a moving sidewalk that took you through the middle of the shark tank.

Well I suppose things do change, especially since 1983! :rolleyes2 That was always our fun memory of SeaWorld though, because we had no idea that screen was going to raise, or that there were sharks! It would be fun to go there or even WDW and be surprised like when we were little. But alas, there are places now like the DIS and well...I just can't help myself. I have to read and look at everyone's pics! ::yes::

Hi Everyone! Boy is it good to see ya'll again....I've missed you Missy. And MadBrad and Wotruba on the Trippin' thread. We haven't had many green lights lately, if you know what I mean. ;)

Hope everyone is doing well! :lovestruc

Amy

Like she said!!! It was a great delight to read the shower of posts today and to hear from tooth and Wotruba and everyone.

Aww, thanks Amy and Circusgirl! I've missed you guys too! It's been a long couple of weeks, having to work through some stuff, and I just couldn't talk. It's great to be moving forward again! But you know what? Everyday, I thought of all of you guys! :grouphug: Wondering what HMFan, Marshay, and Justin were doing at WDW, and not just them, but all my friends here! So that always made me smile. You guys are the best!

Nope, not a stage name. Crazy huh?
And yes Fred and Ginger are cartoon characters......that was funny! :rotfl2:

You are so right about the old movies........at least the movies are accessible with all our cool modern technology. I guess that's a plus. :thumbsup2

Have a great day Marshay!

YAY for exciting news!!! And congrats to all the little Fleagles! :woohoo: You guys must just be thrilled Amy! Living On A Prayer is one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs...and pretty difficult to play I think too. He must be really good!

And I know what you mean about the art...I've always wanted to be able to do at least some kind of art! You have some really talented kids!

Oh, and I hope you have a blast with your friend! He must be from your Wonder Woman days!?! ;)

Thanks - I've said it before - I like doing them!

So, since you guys are on right now, what kind of adventure should I go on in my siggy? Any suggestions? I've survived going over Niagra Falls - what's next?

How 'bout bunjee jumping from the Matterhorn???

You could give Tinker Bell a night off and fly over the castle while you're at it!

Pssst! Amy! Don't forget your oldest living in Massachusetts!

Um...I was thinking the REAL one! :teeth:

Someday though, I would love to see the Swiss Alps too!

Okay, that's a good suggestion. ::yes::

And you can go with me to the Alps, when I go see one of the mountain stages of the Tour de France or Giro d'Italia! We won't have to use a bike - we can get one of these! :moped:
