Now THAT is how you do a summer movie! What a fun ride it was. Mindless, blow-em-up and toss in a one-liner fun! Great casting...loved Sharlto Copley's Murdock. I watched the tv show religiously as a kid. Even named my first horse "Murdock".:lovestruc. This movie brought back all the fun memories (including my childhood crush on Face...now replaced forever in my mind with Bradley Cooper. Sorry Dirk!)

My only complaint about the movie were the idiots in theatre. Seriously, shut up! Nobody needs your running commentary throughout, trying to impress the chick you brought. SHUT UP!

Yay A-Team!!

I saw it tonight. LOVED it! It was my favorite TV show as a kid too. My mom used it as bribery to get me to do my homework before it came on.

And my favorite character on the show was Murdoch, and Sharlto Copley was HILARIOUS! He was so funny, it was awesome. I loved him District 9, so I was excited when he was cast, but I can't believe how much he stole the movie. It was great.

There's an extra scene at the end of the credits, so make sure you stick around for it, especially if you were a fan of the TV show. ;)

Yes...stay to the end of the credits. Our theatre was sold out and only me, DH and one other couple stuck around for the bonus at the very end.

How family friendly was it? Is it really PG13 - like it would have been an R when the TV show was on? Or is it very much like the XMen/Wolverine PG13?

OH Good. i got worried after reading the review in USA Today:rotfl:

It was pretty clear the reviewer hadn't seen the original series, cause he couldn't understand how B.A. would be so afraid to fly. Might wait till it hits the Cafe Cinema here then we can watch it for a couple bucks and have a burger or something with it.

A couple of swear words, moderate sexual innuedo, and lots of violence! Definitely PG-13, but nothing that would put it into the R category in my mind. I would let my 11 and 8yos see it. As the OP said: Just plain fun!

I actually thought it had a plethora of swear words (and attempted words that got cut off by big exlosions.)

I have heard good things about it so far. My bf and I are planning to see it either tomorrow or Monday. He's out of town until tomorrow.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED it!!!! Can someone spoil the after-credits scene for me??? I desperately had to use the restroom!! LOL.

The after credits scene, highlight for spoilers...

--->You see Face walk into a room with a tanning bed. The previous occupant gets out and he is asking him if some sort of product is good for the face. The guy turns around and it's Dirk Benedict who played Face in the TV show. Then you see Murdock sitting in a chair getting electroshock treatments. It cuts to two doctors talking about him and the doctor on the left is Dwight Schultz who of course played the character on TV. Another cool shout out to Dwight came when they were showing the 3-D movie as they were breaking him out of the hospital. The name Reginald Barclay comes on the screen. Dwight played Lt Cmdr Reginald Barclay in Star Trek: The Next Generation.<----

Awesome, thank you! Wish I had stayed till the end..... but I am never able to make it. LOL.

DH and I really want to see this movie. We grew up with the show and DH is even watching the first season on the Netflix streamed to our XBox. I don't know if we will be able to get to the theater to see it since we have a little one now, but if not, I know that it will be out in a couple months to DVD and with the price of going to the theater it might be better to wait it out :goodvibes

I'm babysitting my nephew tomorrow so my sister and brother-in-law can see it. They can't wait. I want to see it again!
