How do you dress for dinner on the 3 night cruise. Is collared shirts for men and pants ok?

That is fine. There is no formal night on the 3/4 night cruises.

Anybody got any more views on 3 versus 4 night cruises, is it worth the extra money to increase to a 4 night on a first cruise?

Originally booked 3 night as I wasn't sure whether I would get sea sick as I am very prone to it but after reading so much here I am wondering about changing to a 4 night to be able to fit more in (it will be part of a 3 week holiday in Orlando).

We like the 4 day cruise best of all! Of the three options (3, 4, or 7 night) DH and I prefer the 4 night. The 7 night requires way too many clothes for our family of 4 and it leaves no time for us to visit WDW during our 1 week vacation. The 3 night is too fast and has no time to relax, the 4 night is just right: Get to see all the great shows, eat in all the great restaurants onboard, have a day to relax on the ship and leaves time to visit WDW when we get off.

So I would say, yes it is worth the extra to go on the 4 night.

NOW, the only reason for us to consider the 3 night over the 4 night is because we are DVC members and we use points for our rooms at WDW. The weekend points are very high, but with the 3 night we can go to WDW from Sun-Wed nights (low point nights) and the go on the cruise during the weekend when points are higher. This is why we are considering the 3 night in the future, but without DVC to consider, I would go with the 4 night every time.

We have decided not to pack as much since it's just 3 nights, so no formal or semi-formal for us. We did opt for Palo's though, even though we will miss one of the dining rooms, because we don't want to miss the show. As for Nassau and Castaway Caye....I think we will get off the ship early at both ports, stay a while, then get back on the ship and enjoy our days that way....seems like the best of both worlds to me! We will spend 4 days at Disney World/Pop Century from August 27 until we sail on September 1 and can't wait! I'm packing as I answer threads, haha!!

I've done both and I really enjoyed the extra day. I also enjoy the brunch more than the dinner at Palo.
We did get off the ship early and got back on in the early afternoon. Since our stateroom was facing the lagoon, we watched the eco tours and banana boats go out and back. It was very relaxing.
My reason for doing the 3day vs the 4 day is I only miss 1 day of work. My days off are thurs, fri and sat.The 4 day I have to take 4 days off.So this works out better for us.

I've been to Nassau twice and I would say the main 'don't miss' is going over to Paradise Island..it's just beautiful there! The first time I went they had the straw market, which was fun, but the 2nd time, it had burned down... I assume it's back now???
I'm hoping this time to hit the dolphin excursion with my kids, but am wondering if it'd worth it to pay to stay the day at BLue Lagoon (name?!?!) or just go for the dolphin encounter.... anyone ? I know I'll end up going back to the ship around 5 or so to be ready for dinner at 6.

Can anyone tell me how much the wine package is for the 3 or 4 night cruises and/or point me in the direction of where I can find out?

Thanks, this is a useful thread for us shorter cruisers!
