And if you ever have an concerns or doubts, print the page right from the TSA website & have it with you to eleviate any disputed items.
A few years ago I had a TSA agent screaming & threatening me that she was going to throw my insulin away since I hadn't put it in the plastic bag. Insulin doesn't need to go in there & I had previously encountered multiple TSA agents telling me NOT to even remove it from my purse (I used to do that) as evidently bottles had been dropped & broken when people were taking it out to show it to them. They told me several times to just leave it in purse but go ahead & mention it to them, as they easily recognize the bottles style & sizing. And many times since they say I don't even need to tell them it is there but I always do anyway.
However, this agent was her own authority & when I told her I had insulin in my purse she literally started screaming at me. Told me to get it in the bag now or it was going in the garbage & was starting to open my purse to get it out. I told her it didn't need to go in there & she said she was throwing it away since I couldn't follow the rules. I told her I need it to survive & I would put it in the bag but she wasn't touching it. She just kept yelling at me and basting me for holding up the line, etc. After that unpleasant trip I made sure I printed a copy of all the TSA rules & left it in my backpack. However it of course has never happened since then. Trust me I was nice until she threatened to throw it away.......
