Thanks everybody for the quick responses!

And, thanks to Teena! Dh will be the only one with charging privileges (no kids - just dh and myself) as he is the one that always signs when we charge things to the room. Hopefully that and speaking to the front desk will work.

Teena, you probably don't remember us but dh and I met you in June. We stayed at the BC and went to the Epcot pin trading event. I think we talked to you about dh being from Pittsburgh/Neville Island. Thanks again for the quick response.

I can't wait to be at the BC again. My family is meeting us there from New Orleans and I can't wait for them to see the BC and all the Christmas decorations. :yay:

I definitely remember the conversation but can't remember what you looked like. It's so hard ... I meet hundreds of people every day.

If the people in the room that you don't want to get the bill don't have any charging privileges on their keys, there will not be any bill delivered to their room so you don't have to worry or even talk to anybody at the desk since there will not be anything to deliver.

The Christmas decorations are so wonderful ... I absolutely love WDW at Christmas time. Wait until you see the carousel at the BC and the train setup at the YC!! And the Candlelight Processional is so beautiful ... my absolute favorite part of Christmas at WDW!

See you in December. I'm working every Sunday and Monday in December since my daughter and her boyfriend are coming here for two weeks. They will do the parks when I'm working. She's so hoping we get some warm days in December so she can show Brian a Disney water park. He has never been to WDW!

Thanks, Teena -

Appreciate the suggestions! First floor is important to us as am not too trusting of my autistic son and balconies. I'll request "first floor, close to lobby" then.
thanks so much! Have visited this resort for Cape May breakfast each trip, but first time staying and we're excited!

It's such a wonderfully warm friendly resort. Between the pool and our location, it's hard to stay anywhere else IMO. Hope to meet you while you are here!

We only talked for a few minutes about the pin convention, about where you are from and about where we are from (dh being from Pittsburg and I'm from New Orleans), until someone else came up to you. It was just dh and myself - middle aged. :rolleyes1 I can describe what we look like but it is pretty non-descrip. I have real short brown hair and dh has totally gray/white hair. Any hoo, we will be sure to look for you on the Sunday and Monday when we are there. Our trip is 12/11 - 12/14. We can't wait to see the lights at the Studios! We are also going to MVMCP and have tickets to ICE! @ Gaylord Palms.

No, the 3 adults in the other room won't have charging privileges, so we should be ok. Thanks again for the info.

Sounds like now is a good time to put in another request for photos of guests who have had the pleasure of meeting Teena! In July, I gave her a photo album that had photos of a few families who met Teena on previous vacations. She really seemed to appreciate being able to remember families she has met, and to put faces to screen names.

Please see my next reply- I'm no sure how to do multiple quotes in one post.

Thanks! Dee

My family's first stay at the BC was in July. GREAT vacation! Before we left for the trip, I decided at the last minute that I would put together a photo album for TeenaS, whose frequent posts about the Beach Club have been helpful to so many of us.

I PM'ed a few of the frequent or recent posters to this board, and asked if they would e-mail me a couple of photos of their family at Disney, OR at the Beach Club OR with Teena. I want to thank the families who responded to my last minute request. Teena was SO appreciative of the book when I gave it to her at checkin. Here is a photo of her first look at the book. She said it was nice to have a reminder of the wonderful people she has met and to be able to put a face to a "screen name/avatar" of the people who write into the board.

I tried to include 4 photos per family on each page, I printed out the avatar and wrote screen names, and if the family provided their names/hometown, I included that, too.

I told Teena I would maintain this book for her, and send photos to her if BC visitors/posters want to add their photos. Please PM me and I will respond with my e-mail address for you to attach a few photos. You can provide me with your real name if you want, or not. Please note that this book is just for Teena, not shared with the public, if you have privacy concerns.

Would you like to add any pictures to the photo album I made for Teena?

Thanks! Look forward to hearing from you!

Dee (Natebenma)

reposting this message- hoping for a few responses! Please PM Natebenma and I will give you my e-mail address. You can send me photos by e-mail, I will print them out and send them to Teena.

Got back yesterday from a great trip to Yacht Club. Popped on over to say hi to Teena at the Beach, who told me about her latest cruise, very jealous.

Our room on the 4th floor (Yacht) had new matresses. They beds were very cozy.

We went swimming late a couple of nights and got bitten like mad, so don't forget your bug spray!

That is great news about having all queens in the rooms.

Any chance all the BVC are queens now, too?

Pgh natives? Currently living a few miles from NI in Sewickley, PA! :goodvibes

BCV doesn't have double beds with the possible exception of sleep sofas.

The master bedrooms have kings. Second bedrooms have either a queen and a sleep sofa (I think those are doubles but we've never used it) or two queens. The living rooms have a queen sleeper.

Studios have a queen and the same sleep sofa.

It is great news about BC, isn't it?

ReggieB, glad you had a great trip!

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the quick response regarding BCV & the bed situation. As I was reading the information I was remembering I did know this... Guess I needed another cup this am!

That is great about the beds! I would have been upset if I was one of the people who have booked a delux room to find two double beds...

Sorry to ask again, but can anyone tell me if all of the BC rooms have been renovated? Have they all got the new bedding now?

Yes, the BC renovations were done a year ago. Just in the last month the rooms that had double beds in them were replaced with queen beds.

Thanks TeenaS! I'm am making my way through the thread, and saw the pics of the new bedding and was hoping it had all been updated. I may be adding a couple of rooms at the BX in the middle of my next vacation if I can swing it. Here's hoping!!!

So excited!! Tonight we officially booked BCV for our vacation in July! We'll have a 2 bedroom villa as well as a studio. Our entire family is going and I cannot wait!! My parents, their kids and spouses, and their kids makes a grand gathering of 12!!

Are all the double beds gone from the YC as well?

I'm not sure about all floors, but my 4th floor had two queen beds. It was very nice, as DS9 does not share. Lots of room for me and DH, where as before it was a bit too close!!!!!

Hi,

this is my very first time on any discussion board of any sort, so sorry if I do everything wrong:confused3
Me and my family (me, DH, DS11, DD10 and DS14) will be staying at the BC next August and have booked just one room. I know there should be a day bed, but am now worried as it would be my 14 year old that would be sleeping on it as he won't consider sharing a bed with his brother or sister (can see his point really:)) Anyway, thing is, he is 6 foot 2 now so goodness knows how tall he will be in August:scared1:
Please could someone tell me whether the day bed will be big enough. I know it seems a daft question but could anyone please describe one. Does it fold out? Do you get bedding for it already in the room or do you have to ask? If anyone has pictures of one made up as a bed that would be fantastic:yay:
Having browsed the boards a bit, I can see how freindly and helpful you all are. I think I may be spending quite a lot of time on here in the coming months:)

Teena - how did the renovations to the CL lounge work out? Did they expand it? I know BC was all redone last year (and it looks great!) so I was wondering what they were going to do with the lounge.

Thanks!

6 foot 2 is not going to fit on the old daybeds and there is no telling which you will get. 6 foot 2 is going to be a stretch on the new ones too. You may want to request a room with two queens only and ask for a rollaway bed to be brought in for him. It's the size of a real single bed. It's comfortable as far as what I hear from guests.

It's beautiful. The whole kitchen area and where the food was put before is a kid's area. The place where the kid's area was is now where the food is. You'd never know it's the same place. It's so much bigger too. They did major renovations in there, moving walls, etc.

And they are now serving hard boiled eggs at breakfast. One of the guests told me yesterday. They were thrilled with them!

Wow - sounds great!

It's funny because DH and DD (12 year old) love hard boiled eggs!

Now the big decision for our summer trip - regular room with deluxe dining or concierge room with regular dining. I'm hoping for a really good AP rate!
