The 2009 "25 Things About Me" thread.... care to play along?

1. I am 37, but keep thinking I am younger
2. I have 2 kids, for a short time we thought about having a 3rd, but stuck with 2, happy we made that decision.
3. I am a SAHM and sometimes feel guilty that I don't feel guilty for not working.
4. I think working at a library would be awesome
5. I am addicted to Facebook

6. I want to lose 15 lbs
7. I bought a treadmill on 12/26 and have used it every day since
8. My mother had one brother, his birthday was 9/27, I was born 9/26.
I have two brothers-the older one's birthday is 10/25, my first child's birthday is 10/24. My younger brother's birthday is 9/6 and my second child's birthday is 9/5. I wonder is my daughter will continue the trend and have a baby the day before her brother's birthday.
9. I saw a man die last year at a mutual friend's party-he was sitting there and tilted his head back like he had passed out, but he had died. It still haunts me, and I didn't even know him.
10. Some of my closest friends I met on a message board for women having babies in September 2001

11. I have been friends with the same group of girls since 7th grade. I love us.
12. I met my husband when I was 18 and got married at 21. I think the fact that we waited 7 years to have kids was a great decision in light of my age.
13. I love my iPhone
14. I read constantly. Usually 2-3 books at a time.
15. My son was born with a hole in his heart. It was called an Atrial Septal Defect and if you are to have a heart defect, this is the one to have.
He had had no issues because of it and it was fixed via cardiac catheterization when he was 4 and he last saw his cardiologist 3 months later with the news that he was fine and he could live his life with no restrictions, but sometimes I still worry.

16. I truly do not have a favorite child, I love them both immeasurably.
17. I wish I liked church, I just find it so boring.
18. I want to go because I am Christian and want my kids to go to Sunday School, but haven't gone in months.
19. I have braces
20. I was originally supposed to get them off 7/08. I still have them, I hate them, but still am thrilled I did this.

21. I love Yankee candles
22. I love grocery shopping and on vacation, I love to go to grocery stores we don't have here. Publix is my favorite.
23. I think NJ rocks. Proud to be from Jersey!
24. My son is a Lego freak, but refuses to build the sets, asks me to do it and I admit I will be disappointed when that stops because I LOVE to build them!
25. My husband and I live in his childhood home. He has never lived elsewhere. I have only lived here and my childhood home.

1. I am an emetophobic
2. I have a really rocky relationship with my mother, but love my grandmother(who raised me) more than anyone else in this world.
3. I lived at home until 3 weeks before I was to be married.
4. I was sunbathing at home, when a family member ran over my legs and torso with a car. I had no internal injuries.
5. I really have no desire to have a career, I just want to be a great wife, cook, cleaning service, laundry person and eventually mother.
6. I do however dream to go back to school for photography.
7. I always thought I was a "cat person" until I got my first puppy Maddie... now I am definitely a "dog person" but really just an animal person in general.
8. The only cars I have ever owned myself are Ford Mustangs... I do drive my husbands Nissan Xterra from time to time though.
9. I love love LOVE my DVC membership... I want to add on to it.
10. I love our Sony Alpha 700.
11. Rehoboth Beach Delaware is one of my 4 favorite cities.
12. Orlando doesn't even make my list of favorite cities.
13. My favorite color is pink.
14. I adore english bulldogs.
15. Paula Deen is my IDOL.
16. I am terrfied of becoming pregnant but really want a child soon, I am scared of what it does to my body, to feeling someone move inside of me, and of going into labor. I am REALLY against someone putting a needle in my spine, so I know I will be trying it "natural" and I know it is going to hurt... REALLY bad.
17. I love to read. I can easily go through a book a day when I don't have to work. In fact I read 2 full books on the day after Christmas.
18. I love to scrapbook but I don't think I'm very good at it... yet. But I will gain skill and confidence in 2009.
19. I loved to run before the car accident, I am trying to learn how to do it again.
20. I actually like going to the gym, I just hate driving there.
21. I LOVE green peppers, and broccoli and could eat baked potatoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
22.I feel at home at the beach.
23. I love cleaning the bathroom, well cleaning in general.
24. I have never even tried smoking a cigarette in my 24 years on earth, and have only been able to light a match for 3 months, I am still scared to try lighting a lighter.
25. The only thing I am more afraid of than puke is death, my own, my husbands, my grandmothers, or family members.
26. (just because I can't leave it out!) I am a COKE fanatic. Very few things make me happier than having a medium McDonalds Coke. It has to be regular coke, not diet and definitely NOT pepsi, I'd rather drink water, and I actually couldn't wait to leave Disney on our last trip because I couldn't wait to get a medium McDonald's coke, all of the WDW coke tasted funny... too little fizziness, and too much syrup.

1. I was born in NJ in Beach Haven.
2. I moved to TN when I was 10.
3. I started doing hair at age 15 in HS.
4. I got my first job in the salon of my choice at 18.
5. I opened my own salon at home when DD was born (great decision, BTW)
6. I've been married for 22 years come August.
7. I'm married to an Ironman, firefighter, paramedic.
8. I have 1 daughter who is homeschooled.
9. I like to scrapbook.
10. I love college basketball.
11. I like to play tennis.
12. One of my biggest acheivements was doing the Donald 1/2 at WDW(which DH signed me up for w/o my consenting!)

13. I am a huge fan of Mickey Mouse and Goofy.
14. I remain thankful for every single night I am blessed to spend the night in the Swan, Dolphin or DVC resort.
15. I am the youngest of 3 girls.
16. I am a Christian who thinks the Bible is truly the Word of God.
17. I am a huge Beach Boys fan. I see them every chance I get.
18. I have watched Parent trap way too many times (both versions).
19. I thought Paul Newman was the most handsome, sexiest man ever.
20. I have 7 nieces and nephews. I have 1 great nephew.
21. I dream of visiting Israel someday.
22. I want to go to Africa someday and hold and love at least one baby who has lost his or her momma to AIDS.
23. I hope to conquer my greatest fear this year.
24. I hope to build a house this year.

14. I drive a minivan but I don't have any kids.
15. I've never had more fun anywhere than I've had at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.
16. My favorite color when I was a kid was Crayola's lemon yellow.
17. I love the scent of any white flowers.
18. I hardly ever leave Florida.
19. DH and I have been together over 23 years.
20. My favorite TV shows are Scrubs and How I Met Your Mother.
21. I just ordered a how-to dvd on swing dancing from Amazon.
22. I don't have a bored bone in my body--if I never worked another day in my life, I could fill up every moment with fun things.
23. I have tea with honey, maple syrup, and half-and-half every morning.
24. My office mate at work just caught me eating dessert first!
25. I made up one of the items above, but the other 24 are all true.

1. I am 43 years old (YIKES!!)

3. DH and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year
4. I absolutely hated math in school...and ended up being a data analyst
5. The number 5 is pretty significant in my life: 5 people in my Mom's family; 5 in my Dad's, 5 in mine, I was born on May 5th (05/05), and I live on 5 xxxx Lane. Five is my lucky number!
6. I have a crush on Johnny Depp
7. I've watched the Wedding Singer about 30 times
8. I love to cook and entertain
9. DH and I have 7 sets of matching Mickey & Minnie coffee mugs
10. My brain is full of useless trivia (so I'm pretty good at Trivial Pursuit!)

1. I am 37, but still feel 14, where did the last 23 years go.
2. My Dad died two years ago and I miss him so much.
3. My nephew died two years ago and I miss him too.
4. I have 3 perfect kids.
5. I always wanted 4 kids and I regret not trying one more time.
6. I am a stay at home mom, but feel so much guilt about not working.
7. I feel guiltly and scared constantly about raising my kids.
8. I have never smoked a cigarette or never tried any kind of drugs in my life.
9. I still talk to and see about 5 good friends from high school.
10. I have 1 dog 1 cat and about 7 fish. We also have a few stray cats outside that we feed.
11. My husband never proposed to me and I am still upset by it 15 years later
12. I have a hard time keeping my house clean.
13. I drive a 2003 ford windstar and a 1996 ford explorer.
14. We still have DH 1986 ford F150 that he bought brand new the year we started dating,that we don't drive anymore, I think he is saving it for DS we tried to get rid of it once, but decided it was part of the family.
15. I went to college for medical assistant and worked for a Dr for about a month and really didn't like that job.
16. My mom has 8 brothers and sisters and my dad had 9 brothers and sisters.
17. I have 2 brothers.

19. I don't exercise enough.
