This story makes me want to vomit. I hate bees!

The article fails to mention that another favorite place of to hide is cable peds (the green boxes on the ground.) Once in a while, DH will have to open one of those.

They've been in the southwestern states for some time. People there have learned to deal with them. I guess we will also.

I don't like any kind of bee or wasp and am always on the lookout for them. We just need to be more vigilant.

I saw a show about them a couple of years ago. They said they will eventually be in all states as far north as the midwest. Those living in the northern states will be safe for the time being. Right now, they can't stand extended periods of cold weather. However, over time they will breed with other bees and will be able to stand colder temperatures. The good news is that they will also become more docile.

Ewww! While I realize that bees are very important they still don't win any bonus points with me although honey bees are usually pretty docile. It's those yellow jackets and wasps that have a really bad attitude.

When I was living in MA I was cleaning out a shed one day that had an old sleeping bag in it. I grabbed it to put it out side and uncovered a nest of Yellow Jackets. Well I took off running faster than I have in about 30 years. The rotten things followed me and even putting about 100 feet between me and the nest didn't stop 2 of them from stinging me on the lips and the neck of all places. EEEYOWWW! Boy did that hurt.

Eh, what can you do? It's a jungle out there!

Well since I am allergic to all bees, guess I will have to stay indoors forever when they get here. Also means I'll have to carry an Epi Pen to Florida in Dec.

I have always had a fear of bees. I don't know what I will do if I ever see any of these.
