This trip report will be a little short because most of the time was walking around and shopping, and there isnt much of an intro to it.

Me (20) - Im a disney fanatic as you can tell from my Sig. I know basically everything about the world and I planned the whole trip inside and out.

DGF (21) - Very easygoing, go with the flow type girl. Doesnt matter what we do she will have a good time, so made my planning easier. Hasnt been to Disney since she was 11.

This was a out of the blue trip before summer started and we both got two jobs to afford it. Wbasically worked our butts off for this vacation. Really our first real vacation together. I went through a travel agent (Lisa of Magical Vacations). She was excellent and all our dining reservations were on par. We drove down so there wasnt much rushing around as far as packing or airlines. We did the necessary shopping and were basically set.

Aug 26th- After an uneventful 20 hour drive down from New York we were at Disney!. We arrived at the Boardwalk about 11:30am and our room was already ready. Our view was excellent and the staff was great. We didnt do any parks that day because we decided we were going to do the marketplace. Alot of money spent, we went back to the resort and changed for the Flying Fish.

However before I touch on that, I will touch on the theme of this trip report, "Thats cute, but where are the parents?" . Now I know Disney is set up for kids but to me its extremley annoying when the parents let the kids do anything and everything they want. This will be the unfortunate theme to this trip because it seemed like this was happening alot. As well as parents egging on there kids when they are whining and crying. That was terrible too but ill touch on that later.

Now the Flying Fish. You can see my reviews in the other dining forums. It was excellent. We exited and there was so much happening on the boardwalk. Jugglers, shops, bikes. It was truly exciting. After a while we checked out the clown pool which was nice but crowded and we went to bed.

Coming up: Chapter 2 - Caribbean Beach and Tropical storm ernesto
