We leave for Disney in less than 1 month!

Am I crazy even hoping that something is going to be announced regarding pass discounts that were hinted in that summer survey???

With 2 WDW trips in less than 10 months, we sure could use an annual pass discount!!

Just wanted people's opinions. Thanks.

Well, I'm one of the newer kids on the block, but folks around here have said that it often takes DVC quite a while to act on surveys. There's no real reason to purchase in advance (since it won't save you any money), so at least sit tight until your trip and buy them when you arrive at WDW.

Or, you could always add-on 130+ points at SSR and get a couple of FREE APs. ;)

Somethng tells me that was a result of the survey and the rest of us shouldn't hold our breath.

That's my thought too. I doubt it was the result of the survey, but I DO think it is the hinted at AP perk.

Ok.....I must have missed something (not unusual for me!) What exactly are you talking about??? We can get Free AP's if we add on 130 pts????? I just recently did an add on, and will not be happy if this is a new perk. (I always miss the boat on this kind of stuff!!!!)

The perk began about a week ago. With 130+ add-on (current members only) at SSR, DVC is giving two free adult AP vouchers or a week's trade via II.

You could probably call your Guide and ask if they would extend the offer to your purchase.

YEP . Thinking the same. Spend 11.000 bucks, we will give you 800.00 dollars in free passes.

OK, I'll play the optimist.

I'm hoping there actually will be an AP perk. If offered, I think it may come with the next AP price increase, enabling DVC members to either keep the current pricing level or perhaps get us a little under.

Of course if Disney/DVC wanted to be a little bit devious about it, they would just offer us an additional price break on AP RENEWALS. :p

I think the present renewal policy for AP's "SUCKS".

I would just hope they go back to the old system where the renewal started on your next return to WDW not when your present AP expires. If I renew this year I would loose 3 months of use to save approximately $50.

I am seriously thinking about US annuals to spend more time there ( the kids seem to like it there ) and multi day passes for Disney since they don't expire.

I believe Universal has the same policy on renewing its annual passes.

And back to the OP's topic, no I wouldn't expect to see anything in the next 30 days.

I would be surprised to see it in the next 30 months:p

DVC does not seem to move quickly on things. I stopped by the sales center last week and the receptionist/greeter CM asked if I had been on the new website. When I stated yes, he asked if I heard about them working on on-line ressies. I replied yes, I heard it would be working in 2041;) He gave me a funny look, than processed (1 yr before DVC1 ends) and than had a good laugh.

Something tells me I may have only been exaggarating a little.

I thought you were being optimistic. :)

Free AP's to add-on are incentives. Discounts for anyone with a DVC member card are Perks. It's semantics, but in this case it's important.
