That awful coffee-like beverage in WDW...

I like McDonald's coffee too. I like it far more than Starbuck's. And the in-room coffee at WDW is fine because it's brewed.

What they're serving in most of the restaurants is what I take exception to. I read on here long ago that it is made from a liquid concentrate of Nescafe instant coffee. That is totally believable based on how bad the flavor of it is.

I'd love for somebody to post an E-mail address for somebody who's in charge of Disney restaurants so I can complain.

I have to say that I really don't mind the WDW coffee. Not my first choice but I'll drink it.

I'm in new england, and it seems we have three choices here: dunkin' donuts is most people's first choice. That is one that is almost undrinkable to me. It tastes sour and metallic. We are getting a few starbuck's here but I find their coffee is over-roasted for my taste. My choice is green mountain or the other local roasters. Most of the non chain coffee shops have it, as does McDonalds (Newman's Own is just re-branded green mountain).

I bet for WDW is there is a volume issue. If they went with starbucks they'd have to pay people to brew it constantly. Those big nescafe machines work for cheap.

I did 2/3 "coffee" to 1/3 hot chocolate it was ok. But I am a verified FU-FU coffee drinker.

I noticed this too-the coffee in our room was french roast and tasted pretty decent. VERY different than the ones we came across elsewhere. The WORST coffee concoction we had on our whole trip was the frozen cappucinno from the bakery in the France Pavillion. THAT was just plain nasty.

The only coffee I have had at WDW was what was in the room, because I had heard the other was really bad. I am not a big coffee driker, but do like it when the weather is cold. I don't have to have it everyday, like my sweet tea, now try to find that at WDW.

They used to serve Columbian Coffee back in the day. The Columbian Coffee Growers used to sponsor the Crystal Palace amongst other places. Disney used to have pretty good coffee. Nowadays, I only drink decaf in the AM and we bring our own French Roast from Trader Joe's. Since all the DVC villas have coffeemakers, we are set.
