It has taken me awhile to get around to getting to everyone, but I wanted to say thanks... My Husband had come to this forum for advise on planning a Family trip to Disney World. He was diagnosed with ALS ( Lou Gehrigs` Disease) , and was affraid that this would ruin the fun in taking the Family on a Vacation.
Because of all the good advice we received from this forum, we had a WONDERFUL vacation. We spent a week in early June at the Yacht Club. We Loved it and never had so much fun. Everyone at all the parks and the resorts were very helpful and kind. Last Saturday on July the 5th, my Husband passed away. But we will always remember the trip we had, and the help we received through this web site in planning the perfect trip for someone with a disability.

My father passed away a few years ago from the same illness. It is heartbreaking because the progression is so rapid.

I am SO glad you were able to plan and carry out a vacation that will leave your family with many happy memories. There is no better place than Disney to place memories in your heart that last forever. Big hugs to you and your family.

If you would ever like to share any details about your trip, I would love to hear them! My dad recently passed away after an all too short battle with cancer, and I know how I treasure the memories of time we spent with him. Again, I am so very sorry for your loss.
