I am planning on going to WDW during Thanksgiving break. It would be my family and my SIL and her family. I hate crowds. I was wondering how busy WDW is during Thanksgiving break?
Thank You,
Megan

From what I have read on other boards Thanksgiving week is pretty crowded and the crowds start to thin out beginning Sunday after. It still is considered regular season and I think a lot of locals are there during that time as well.

Hope that helps some.

We've gone everyother year at Thanksgiving since 1983 and each year the crowds have increased. This past year was because of people cancelling trips and rebooking them because of the hurricanes.
The beginning of the week is not bad, but by Wed. the crowds have grown, & by Thurs., Fri & Sat very crowded.
It's a beautiful time of the year the weather is 70's - 80's during the day, cooler in the evenings, with very little (if any) rain. But you have to be prepared for anything. This past year one evening it was so cool I had to wear sweatshirs with jackets, and I also had to break out my little gloves.
The parks are fully decorated by Thanksgiving day and the Christmas shows start.
You have to go with an open mind regarding the crowds. If one park is to crowded for you switch to another. Don't go to the park that has early entry, this seems to make the park crowded the whole day.

We went this past Thanksgiving. The parks were fine the Saturday before Thanksgiving through the Wednesday before. We made the mistake of going to MK on Thanksgiving day and it was pretty scarey. We left and went back to the hotel to relax before our Thanksgiving PS. Friday was crowded, but now overwelming. Saturday was fine. We got there at openning on both Friday and Saturday. Enjoy. We loved our Thanksgiving trip! :flower:

Where did you have your Thanksgiving Day meal? We will be going down from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We will be there with friends of our and their three children.

On Thanksgiving morning the "boys" are going fishing and the "girls" are going over to the GF Spa with the plan of meeting up in EC around noontime on Thanksgiving Day.

Any opinions on where to have our Thanksgiving Day meal will be appriciated.
