Does anyone have any information on places to eat on Thanksgiving Day? We will be at BCV for our first stay there with my inlaws. A buffett sounds nice but would like to know which is the best so I can make PS.

I've read many times over on the restaurant board that the Yacht Club has a very nice buffet... it's expensive, but all the buffet's on property ARE expensive.... you might want to check out the restaurant board here on the DIS for further information if you want to look at other locations!

Check Deb Wills' site. She has information on last year's special Thanksgiving dinners under her menu area. It is a good place to start.

We'll be there too. We are doing Artist Point this year. We have done Liberty Tree Tavern (bad idea, avoid MK at all costs), the Luau (a lot of fun and very different) and AKL Boma (we are were on a multicultural theme).

We're eating at 50's Prime Time Cafe. We'll be at MGM anyway that day. They offer the traditional turkey meal (about $16.00 per person) or their regular menu. I hope they hoop it up for us as I've heard their antics can be quite fun! I thought it would be something different to do and my family is looking forward to it.

Zera's Pride,

Make SURE you eat those green beans at the Prime Time or you'll be riding the "Choo-Choo"!

I hate green beans. I hope they don't make me do anything too embarassing when I refuse to eat them. :p I can't wait!

I don't like em' either...hence, the "choo choo". But that place is such a hoot!! We had a guy waiter one year who called the man behind us "Scooter" and his wife "Precious". It was so much fun watching him tease them. THEN he turned it on us. Our kids were mortified (and they have NO green beans anywhere on the KIDS menu). But we all had a blast! My face hurt from laughing by the time dinner was over.

The waiter asked my husband what color the soap was in the bathroom. I tried to tell DH the correct color and he didn't listen. So....waiter boy made all 4 of us get up and wash our hands before he would take our order.

Occasionally you'll see someone in there who isn't prepared for the "abuse" and so they don't look thrilled....but if you have the right attitude and want some fun, you'll have it here. And I'm sure it will be one of your more memorable thanksgiving dinners.

I've heard good things and not so good things about the dining experiences at 50's. We're going with a fun-loving, easy-going attitude and hope our server picks up on our "attitude" and really zings it to my hubby. He loves stuff like this! Thanks Laura for sharing your experience.
