Four options:

1) Spend the day at MK with late non-char lunch at LTT, see the Presidents
2) Spend the day at MGM, late lunch at Brown Derby, catch the Osbourne lights end of day (assuming they're up)
3) Spend the day at Epcot (maybe catch the USA show), late char lunch at Garden Grill
4) Stay away on what will be a crazy crowded day at the parks!

3DD, 1DS, we've done Disney a bunch, but never over the holiday time. I feel like I'm embarking on the unknown all over again!

Blessings to all!

Well that is easy for me! It's my son birthday and he has requested we spend the day at MGM. We are looking forward to seeing his favorite things: Indiana Jones, Star Wars and the stunt Cars! It will be an added plus of the lights are up and we can walk around after his bday/thanksgiving meal at the brown derby!

I'd go with 2,3, or 4....definitely not #1!!!

If it helps any, we have breakfast at Chef Mickey's and dinner at Boma, and we're planning on going to Downtown Disney to do some shopping and check out the Christmas decorations at a few of the resorts on Thanksgiving. It beats having dinner at home with 25 people!

I'd pick number three, and eat at Garden Grill. I'm one of those people who just feels like I have to have turkey on Thanksgiving.

Number 4. That´s what we´re doing :)

Everyone just keep picking 4.........that way there will be less crowds in the park for me to have to deal with!!

Last year we did Magic Kingdom from opening until about 1:00, then swimming at the hotel and dinner (very traditional) at Whispering Canyon Cafe. We thought we were nuts to do MK that day, but we decided to try it and it was not busy at all! We even took photos of the streets with few people. It started to pick up around noon and then got crazy as we left.

Enjoy Thanksgiving at WDW - we loved it and plan to do it again in 2009!

My sister is going at Thanksgiving as well and she and her family are having in room dining on their balcony at the AKL. How peaceful and relaxing to dine while watching the animals!

less people mean less crowds for us:cool1: either way it doesnt matter since for us celebrating ds's birthday is our priority. Im seriosly excited not to have a busy thanksgiving day with family and overeating.. :lmao:

#2 for us... After dinner will take in the Osborne Lights and then stroll over to Epcot and take in the WS sights.

Everyone... Have a Great Trip,

Mark

#4 for sure, especially since you've been there so many times. Arrange for a nice Thanksgiving meal and enjoy the day.

We used Thanksgiving Day 2007 as our "break" day. We slept in, made brunch at the house (8 bedroom offsite villa - we had 16 of us) - swam in the pool, then we had a Grand FLoridian family photo shoot and rode the monorail over to catch a boat to Ft Wilderness. Once at FW, we did the pony rides and had a nice, homespun, Thanksgiving dinner at the Trail's End. Then we took the boat ride back at night to the MK (BTW, MK looked crazy busy if you were wondering) and rode the monorail back to the GF to get our cars! It was very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to do it the same exact way if we ever went back on Thanksgiving.

BTW, we loved going at Thanksgiving - prepare for crowds, but with planning you can still have a great time. (And yes, the Osborne lights are up at MGM by then)

Have a great trip!

I've spent 2 Thanksgivings at WDW and ate at THe Cape May Cafe/Beach Club both times.
It was wonderful!!:thumbsup2

I don't mean to hijack the thread but how do you schedule the GF photo shoot?
