I used to go see one film with my family over Thanksgiving weekend, but now it seems like we see at least 2...sometimes 3. My mom and I normally sneak off to the theater together for another film.

There are a lot of choices this year, I think we are starting off with Old Dogs - Robin Williams always makes me smile and this will be his first film with John Travolta (hard to image since both those guys have such long resumes!!)

I know there are a ton of other releases...Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Princess and the Frog (NY/LA), NINE...

What are you planning on seeing?

I don't go to the movies, but I always like to check the cable tv to see if they are doing any Thanksgiving specials from the old tv shows - like "The Waltons"; "The Brady Bunch"; etc..

Thanks for reminding me - and have fun at the movies! :thumbsup2

We went to see The Blind Side this past weekend. Super movie! We also want to see Old Dogs.

We are going to see Disney's 3D A Christmas Carol over Thanksgiving weekend - probably Wed night (as we are both off Wed - Sun).

We just saw Blind Side last sat night - it was great and I highly recommend it.

Have a wonderful holiday

So many factors to consider when picking out movies with my family...we normally go with a comedy and then there is always a debate about the cast. I am surprised we ever even make it to the theater, let alone see several films. Old Dogs seems like a good bet - hard not to laugh when Robin Williams or John Travolta go on screen! Good year for Thanksgiving weekend films if you ask me!

We're going to see Old Dogs, looks like it will be hilarious. If anyone hasn't seen New Moon, it is AWESOME!

I will be seeing A Christmas Carol thanksgiving day. Sometime this weekend I will be seeing The Blind Side.

DS7 wants to see Old Dogs so we'll be going to see that. I'm just excited that I'm going to see a non animated movie.

I ended up seeing Old Dogs - just as hilarious as I had expected, plus it's a really cute story about family too (good for the holidays). And something about that gorilla still makes me laugh just picturing him!

Also watched about a 1,000 movies on TMC - can't beat the classics :)
