Thanksgiving weekend (inc. friday) - water parks & cypress gdns...

Morning all,

We're trying to lay in plans for which parks to visit over thanksgiving weekend. As it stands at the moment, we can't decide whether to visit Cypress Gardens or Aquatica on the friday - we're heading over to seaworld late afternoon to grab a ride on Kraken after dark (it's open till 8pm ) so are doing a 1/2 - 3/4 day park earlier....

Any advice on how busy Cypress is likely to be based on past experience would be appreciated... and any thoughts on how busy the water parks generally are as hopefully this would enable me to judge how busy aquatica is going to be, helping me make a decision!!!!

Cypress Gardens is quite a drive away from Sea World - and really IMHO is not worth the effort - there is hardly anything there and the rides are really dated - in fact when we went in May 07 it was empty and we got round it in about 3 hours! Might be busier at Thanksgiving if the locals go there.

I'm sure Aquatica will be busy too but it's a lot closer to Sea World!

Drive distance isn't much of an issue for us as we're staying in a residential community midway between SW and CG - i was hoping someone would have direct experience of how busy CG has been and the other (non-disney) water parks are...

We're doing CG as a change of pace, we wanted somewhere to take our time wandering around and i wanted to gain a coaster credit on the Starliner
