We Are Travelling 12.nov This Year. The Second Week We Are There Is Thanksgiving Week, Will It Be Very Busy?
I Need To Be Able To Organise Our Time As One Of Our Party Is Autistic.

Ive been twice then and will be there again this year and its a nice time to go. The first week will be really quiet and yes the second week is busy but its not too bad. Before it seemed to be busiest from the Thursday till Sunday and then it quietened down again. I think I will probably avoid MK on the Thursday as its bound to be packed and will probably hit the shops instead. I would think that weekend is a good time to do Seaworld etc and spend more time relaxing. Its not usually inbearably busy but the queues are longer.

Are the shops open on Thanksgiving? We have been in US a couple times at this time and my recollection is that pretty much everything is closed. It's really more like Christmas Day than Christmas Day is.

We had this problem but we were not in Orlando, so maybe they are different being a main tourist place - we stayed outside of the main resorts and everything was closed on Thanksgiving!

The day after Thanksgiving lots of the big department stores have sales. Worth a trip to somewhere like the Florida Mall.

I dont know whether they are open on actual Thanksgiving but they are definately open on the Friday and as someone esle said they have big big sales on. When Ive been before on Thanksgiving I havent noticed anything closing for it.

Yes, they are definitely open on the Friday after - as others have said, it's when the big sales start - but be prepared - it's busy busy busy!!
