tell me about late November. We are thinking of camping in our pop-up over Thanksgiving week. Give me some ideas of things to do. I have heard that the crowds get worse as the holiday approaches; is it manageable? How's the weather then? What suggestions would you make for dining Thankgiving Day?

We go to DW every other Thanksgiving week (this is the year, yea). Our experiences at FW have always been pleasant and we've been doing this for almost 30 years. The crowds do seem to grow throughout the week being the most crowded on Thanksgiving day in MK. The activities in FW and the parks are comparable to any other time of the year with the exception of the Christmas decorations and festivities that start on THursday. I'm really looking forward to this trip because we'll be taking the fourth generation of our family for the first time.

I hope your trip and your experiences will be as good as ours.

I called yesterday to reserve a site for Thanksgiving week. The campground is completely sold out. I was able to get 4 nights at the beginning of the week but nothing after Wednesday. I am going to keep calling back in case someone cancels. I don't know how far in advance you need to make reservations, but it is already too late. :sad2:
