I see alot of talk on here about Thanksgiving weekend being very busy. Do you mean Thurs-Sun or the whole week. I will be going to the parks Monday-Thursday (Thanksgiving Day). Is that a bad time?

It looks like they r expecting large crowds. look at the times the parks r open till. I think alot of people take that week off because they already have off thurs & friday. We always go week after. This year we will be there thurs til wed after. By sunday it should be less crowded. But i would expect large crowds from Wed till Sat.

Two more questions. What park should I do on Monday and Tuesday? Also I have always gone in the middle of the summer. Is it more crowded during Thanksgiving than it is in the summer?

It shouldn't be as crowded as summer. especially on monday & tuesday. but if it is at least you won't have to deal with the heat also. I come in on thursday til tuesday.

Busy days at parks r
MK M sat & sun
Ep Wed & fri
MGM tues wed & sat
AK mon tue Fri

So i guess I would do Epcot or MGM on monday.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. I leave on the 17th and return on the 22nd. I am going to MK on Thur.18th and MGM on Fri.19th. This leaves Epcot for Sat. and AK for Sunday. Hopefully, I won't get hit too hard with crowds.

I've been in the peak of the summer, but I've never seen a park as crowded as Epcot was on Thanksgiving Day. All TT Fast Passes for the entire day were gone before 11:00 a.m. and standby waits were 90-100 minutes at TT and MS. In WS, you literally could not get through the crowds outside the Mexico pavilion without squeezing through the gift market. We didn't go, but reports are that the MK was worse.

Friday was very busy too (athough it was manageable with FPs and good planning), but Saturday and Sunday were slower; mostly because the temperature dropped 20 degrees in an hour on Friday night and highs on Saturday were just in the low 60s, I suspect. Sunday in the MK, for example, we had no trouble getting a curb seat just a short while before the start of the Share a Dream Come True parade.

I went last year at Thanksgiving. It was crowded, but don't remember it being that bad! We did get to the MK first thing in the am...then when it got too crowded, we left. I forgot what park we opted to go to. You can always try it or opt to go to another park that day.

Have fun!

WDW is expecting a crowd all the days next week

MK hours got changed it does not close now until midnight before it 10:00PM.

I haven't encuntered any crowds that could actually discourage me except for the year we tried to go to MK on Thanksgiving day. I'll avoid that park for the last part of the week except for very late in the day/evening. We still enjoy ourselves very much and seem to get to do anything we want. Hope you all have wonderful trips. Only 7 days until my vacation starts!

This year we're going to US for Thanksgiving Day, but the rest of the time we'll be at WDW. I guess Friday will be our most crowded day in the park. I know I'll have to fight the crowds but I definitely have to end my stay at Magic Kingdom Friday night.

We were there last Thanksgiving. I have not experienced WDW (well let's say MK) in over 20 years so I have nothing to compare. We did MK on Sat. and Sun. and Epcot on T-day. My DD just turned 2 so were were there early and out in the early afternoon. I remember turning into Fantasy land around 11;30 and being in shock. Wall to wall people. We turned around and hid upstairs in the columbia harbour house for a while. Epcot seemed fine Thanksgiving morning but was a bit crowded in the evening.

One thing to note, right before we were to leave they switched EMH for MK and Epcot. So MK EMH was on Wed. and Epcot's was on Thurs. I think they just like messing with our heads.
