Thanksgiving Week

Okay so I know that this is ALL speculation and without a crystal ball from Madame Leota we may never know but I'm going to ask anyway.

How bad will Thanksgiving week be? We are Thanksgiving veterans and go during that week every single year so we are used to 7-10 on the touring scale. However, we are also used to having 100% open and operational with gingerbread houses as well so we really aren't sure what to prepare for. I know it will be crowded. It always is but I wonder if the wait times will be way higher than they were for Columbus Day weekend or say, Jersey week that is coming up.

Any guesses?

Following along. Going the same time

We are Thanksgiving goers too, this will be our fifth year in a row and we've been three times since the parks reopened. My honest opinion is that it'll be crowded and the lines will be long. I don't really expect that standby waits will be less than what we're used to during normally holidays (without fastpasses too, which isn't great) and ordering food and finding seating will probably also be a challenge. But the one important way I think it'll be different is that the parks will be easier to navigate and there will not be as many pain points as there normally are. I can remember a couple of years ago we tried to go through the hub at MK and it was nearly impossible to get through the throngs of people. I don't think it'll be like that this year. Basically, I'm going into it expecting it to be crowded but in a different way than years past, if that makes sense. I'm happy that hours have been extended for the week for most parks, but I do not expect to get as much done in a day as we have in years past with the help of fastpasses.

Only three more weeks -- I'm still very excited to go back and see the Xmas decorations up! Hope you have a great trip!

Prepare for it to be bad. I think it will feel worse, since there is less to do and people have to take up more space due to social distancing. We will be there too.
