Thanksgiving week?

Is there any one day during the week of Thanksgiving that would be less crowded than the others? My family will be staying in Tampa November 18-25 and we are thinking of visiting a park just for one day. Is there a park that would be slower than the others and would there be any day of that week that might be slower than the rest?

We go that time nearly every year, I would say as early in the week as you can. It starts to really build in crowd the closer you get to T-giving day. So the earliest day you can would be best option IMO. Plus do rope drop if possible to get a much time in before the crowds swell...

I'd LOVE to go at some of the less crowded times of year, (ppl say first week or 2 of Dec is awesome)... but I work at a school so summer, T-giving break, C-mas break or spring break are only times I can take vacations. But we have a blast regardless, and just go into it knowing there will be crowds. I know some ppl say that for them it feels just as crowded at T-giving as in the summer, but for us we find June/July WAY more hectic (with exception of T-giving Thur-Sun which is indeed slammed). Or maybe it's just that we avoid that summer heat that it just feels not as bad, LOL

From everything I am reading on these boards and elsewhere it will be very busy starting on Monday. Epcot is starting their holiday festival on 11/19, so I expect it to be busy there.

Our plan is to do HS on Thanksgiving Day in the afternoon. Might walk over to Epcot and ride Soarin one more time in the morning if we are up early enough for EMH.

Yeah, it's busy all week but we personally haven't found Monday "that" bad... don't get me wrong, it's definitely crowded all week, but we notice a the crowd "swell" on Wed for sure. :) In all our years going, we've actually never gone into the parks ON T-giving day itself. We use it as a "down day"... but I've always wondered how the actual day itself was crowd wise! I hope you can post back on here (or pm me) and let me know how the crowds on the day itself are? I've always went back and forth about going to a park or not on the day itself! I'm sure your trip will be awesome!

I was surprised crowd calendars had Magic Kingdom as the suggested park, cause I thought that one and Epcot would be the MOST busy???

We have reservations on Thanksgiving for Ohana so I think we are going to eat and do the monorail crawl. We are going to stay out of the parks that day!!

Like others have mentioned, the earlier in the week the better, we have been there during turkey week a few times and the crowds are heavy but we still have a great time. This year we will be at HS on turkey day and have a character ADR at Hollywood & Vine:)

How do you guys compare the crowd level on Thanksgiving week to Easter? I'll be there on Thanksgiving this year.

I'm used to going on January which is always great, and last time I went around Easter time and found it to be ok.

I have also been there on Christmas and New Years eve and THOSE are the crowds that I'm afraid of!

If it's anything like last year, Saturday the 18th will be the best date. Sunday will be busier, but not terrible. It will turn terrible on Monday. Actual crowds levels last year were 6 on Saturday, 8 on Sunday, and 10 on Monday.

Actual crowd levels for the week of Thanksgiving 2016 and the week leading up to Easter Sunday 2017 were quite similar.

We went to Epcot on Thanksgiving last year and had a great time. We'll be there that week this year. We've tried to stay out of MK most of the week though.
