Okay, let me start by saying that we were at WDW and USF at Christmas time. Actually at USF on Christmas Day. We have always stayed onsite...until this year. We have a timeshare and had an extra week and decided to head south for T'giving. We LOVE WDW, I would go there all the time. We LOVE USF, but have never ventured there without FOTL. My question is, how crowded in USF the week of T'giving and am I going to be frustrated without FOTL access? We are thinking of being there the Sun, Mon, Tues, and Wednesday.....doing Sea World on Thursday and DTD,Resort hop on Friday. So, I guess I have 2 questions....Is 4 days TOO much for USF? We have always got everything done in 2, one at each park..but then we had FOTL. OR is 4 days going to be "just enough" since we don't have FOTL and we'll have to stand in line all day? I know they have Express Pass Kiosks that we can use...just like at WDW, so I can use those. We were going to go the WDW route, but with the kids getting in free, and 2 free days, it's kinda hard to pass up! Thoughts and suggestions welcome!
THANK YOU!!!!!

We will be there the same week ! We will have city passess so we will spend 1 day at wet and wild, one at Sea World, and the rest at Universal. Other than that can't help since it will be our first non-Disney trip !

Hello Judy! We are going to SW too...probably on T'giving day. If I read right, we get an extra day there for free as well. If we don't finish SW on T'giving, we'll come back Friday morning. It's hard doing your first Non-Disney trip. Actually, I don't think we have ever been to FL without going to WDW! Maybe why I feel this trip is so hard for me! Still curious to hear what people have to say about T'giving week!

Four days is plenty. Just take your time and see what you want to see. The lines will not be too heavy Sun-Wed. The Friday and Saturday after, will be mobbed.

Thank you DM!! I knew I could count on you! I was hoping the days leading up to T'giving weren't going to be too crowded...the reason I am planning the trip the way I am. We are looking forward to going back! Christmas Day was SO COLD and SO WET, I don't think we enjoyed it NEARLY as much as we could have had the weather been nice. The only advantage was the park was EMPTY! Here's a favorite photo of mine....

We were there last T'giving on-site. It was nice in the mornings, few crowds, but the afternoons were a little more crowded. Mummy was the worst. We waited 15-20 min. even w/FOTL during the week. Other than that everything was nice and the weather was PERFECT!! Have a great time!

Thanks Mom! We are always at the parks before opening, so we are through the doors right away. We'll just plan to do the BIG rides first thing in the morning, then go back and hit the less popular/rides with faster moving lines in the afternoon. I am really looking forward to this trip! I am hoping the weather is nice!

Hoping for the good weather since we will be there at the same time also. Not exactly sure which days, which parks but we will be in the Orlando are Nov 19-30th with my hubby's whole family.

As for 4 days, since it is part of the deal you can choose to do half days instead of rushing around. It is a fabulous deal!!!

Have fun,
Jenn

Never been there for Thanksgiving. So I can't help you there. But on Our last three trips to Florida, we "Over Fork Over" people have never stepped foot on Disney Property and never missed it. Don't think we could do Universal without FOTL Though. Good Luck and have fun.

Last night Steve decided that we needed to stay on site and have the FOTL! We are booked for just one night, giving us two days of FOTL access. We arrive in FL on Saturday and check in to The Royal Pacific on Sunday. I figure this way we can do all the big things on those 2 days, then do the shows and smaller things the next day or 2. We may not even need all 4 days now. Maybe we can take a day and go to a beach. I think it will be strange going to Orlando and not going to WDW. I will get my fix on that Friday though, as I want to resort hop and maybe do Chef Mickey's!

We're flying in late Fri night. Going the next morning. Staying only the 1 night just so we can get FOTL on Sat. Going to be packed. Our next day is Tuesday, hopefully won't need it then. We're in a timeshare.
