Hey howdy ho, fellow Dis-ers!

My sister and I, along with our families, are trying to settle on a week for a 2013 Disney vacation. Yes, we are really planning that far ahead. Don't judge me. I know there are plenty of you that plan that far ahead are farther. After all, we're all "mad" here. :hyper:

So, my question in the title basically says it all. Which week will be better for crowds? We know we will have to have a good plan in place for park touring either way. And we know Thanksgiving day and New Year's Eve will be busy. Overall, we are leaning toward Thanksgiving week, checking in the Saturday before (11/16/13) and staying for 6 nights/7 days. Otherwise, we would be looking at a check-in of 12/27/13 for 6 nights/7 days.

Any advice?

Well, my friend is a CM and she says without a doubt the busiest week of the year is the week between Xmas and NYE. Without a doubt. she also says that frequently the park will close due to hitting full capacity, which means without an ADR, you can't get into the park if they close. (If you have a confirmed ADR inside the park, they will let you in) So for that reason alone, I would lean toward Thanksgiving week, though flying will be very expensive.

I'm sure you know it's very important to book the second the room comes out as well. Same for your ADRs.

That helps a lot, thanks. We wont fly because sis is phobic.
Next question: we can book room only ressie at 500 days out, right?

The lesser of these two evil's would be Thanksgiving week:goodvibes
