Anyone who has gone to WDW during Thanksgiving week - is it a good time to attend? Are the crowds manageable? What's the weather like?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I can only speak for Thanksgiving Day and beyond. That part of the week has always been manageable for us with crowds lessening on both Saturday and Sunday. Thanksgiving Day has always been a "resort day" for us. Advice has been to stay away from MK on turkey day.

As for the first half of the week, I can only repeat what I have read and that is the weekend before isn't too bad and the crowd grows some each day peaking the day before Thanksgiving.

The weather is usually good. Not too hot, sometimes cool, but it can be unpredictable. We love that weekend because the Christmas decorations are up, CP starts at Epcot, and if you can stay a couple of days into the next week, you can attend MVMCP, which is great! My advice would be to stay away from MK on Thanksgiving Day and just go with the flow and have a good time!

Thanksgiving is my favorite time to visit. However, the MK is extremely crowded on Thanksgiving day. The weather is nice, not extremely hot nor cold. Christmas decorations are up. I want to go there so bad this Thanksgiving, but I can't. Maybe next year.

It's a great time to go...for about a million people. Seriously, we went this past Thanksgiving despite my warnings to my wife. She wanted to experience it for herself. We usually go every year at Christmas and the week end before Thanksgiving was about like a tipical summer day as far as crowds go, but as the week progressed toward Wednesday before Thanksgiving (our last day) they got heavier. In fact they were as heavy if not more so than Christmas Week and Easter Week (the two times of the year we normally go, my wife is a teacher and we are limited). Thanksgiving IS the third busiest week of the year, right behind Christmas and Spring Break. By the end of the trip, my wife said, "From now on we go at Christmas, at least then all of the Christmas lights are on at night!"

BTW, the Christmas lights aren't officially turned on until the week following Thanksgiving. They do start lighting them about Tuesday night before Thanksgiving, but its not official.
