Thanksgiving week flyers -- How much are you tickets?

I went and checked how much my tickets would be if I bought them today.

I bought these pack in Feb. And so many people thougth I was insane to buy flights so early in the year.

I purchased my tickets back in March 05 (final payment on upcoming package). I think our tickets were around $300 roundtrip from Orlando to DFW via Atlanta.

Definitely glad we purchased them early.

Buying early really can pay off. I have it in my head that we might go around Labor Day in 2006... checked the Song rates and the fares are great right now, $79 each way even flying right on or right after Labor Day. Within six months dates on or near holidays can spike to $300 each way.

I'm just never ready to commit to non-refundable tickets 11 months in advance.

Committing to the tickets in Feb. made me committ to the trip! I even got my Disney papers in the mail today!! So now I am ready to start packing.

$235pp and I purchased a long time ago too. They were $800+ each last time I checked. Glad I bought when I did; there's no way I'd pay $800pp for a ticket. I'd sooner drive and I hate road trips.

$310.40 pp for Chicago Midway to MCO 11-19 and return 11-26 on SWA and I bought them on July 15, 2005 around 10:30 am which is the day I believe they opened up the schedule to include Thanksgiving. It only cost $57.70 to fly there but coming back was full fare @ $252.70. It was a black out date for Rapid Rewards where as last year I used Rapid Reward tickets the same time period. It wasn't worth the extra cost and time to fly out of Tampa.
