Just wanted to post this information in case it can help anyone traveling during Thanksgiving week.

I have a friend here at work that is going for the week of Thanksgiving (November 17th checkin - November 24th checkout). I helped him to book a room only reservation at All Star Sports.

We were only able to book him at rack rate....which is $99 per night.

For 7 nights...his total was around $783. To purchase tickets for his family (2 Adults and 1 Child)....he was going to pay $623 total (using the Mousesavers Newsletter link for discount tix) :) That would give him a total of $1406 for room and tix.

We tried to apply the ZQG code, but figured that it would be tough to get a discount during Thanksgiving week. Sure enough, there were no discounts at any of the value resorts for that week.

They did have a discounted package at Coronado Springs, however. His total came out to $1414 for room and tix under the package.

So...for $8 more, he moved up to a moderate room with more space, fridge, etc. Just wanted to pass this info on that there may not be a discount on your value room, but you may be able to move up to a nicer resort for the same money.

Speed :teleport:

Wow, that is a really nice upgrade! Your a great friend to help them out with there plans for vacation.

I was able to get a value that week. We had to switch from Pop to Sports, but for 7 days 6 nights, 5 days of base park tickets, insurance, and the dining plan I paid $1545.21, $339 cheaper than my original package. I was told yesterday that my dates were blacked out, but I called back this morning and had no problems getting in. I could have done CBR or CSR for $3 cheaper than my original package, but just couldn't pass up the refund. We won't swim or spend time in the room anyway!

I was also able to upgrade from POP to CSR for $2.00 more!!! I was told the POP was not available with the discount for the Thanksgiving dates I needed, so I thought what the heck can you check any moderates for me? She came back with such a great offer I jumped on it!!!

Now I just have to try and stop thinking about the trip 24/7.

What discount were you able to use?

I also moved my family from Pop to CSR the first day the codes came out, and it was less money for me to do so. My sister's family did the same, though I think they ended up paying about $20 more, but will certainly not mind paying just a little for the extra space and the beautiful landscaping. They usually stay at the GF twice a year, but they are looking forward to CSR. As are we!
