Thanksgiving Week but haven’t received points yet

We are trying to go Thanksgiving Week (11/20 to 11/26), but we still haven’t received our points yet. We just closed Tuesday, so it’s going to be another few weeks at least. There are only days here and there available over our stay. I’ve always been very successful at stalking for FP and dining reservations. Will that same stalking give me a chance of piecing together a stay, or do I not have a chance in hell? lol Also, is the wait list worth it? Should I try that too? Any advice or encouragement welcome! lol Thanks!

Definitely pick up whatever days you can find and stalk and waitlist the rest. It’s crazy booked already. I’d pick any resorts that had two days in a row and fill in with the possibility of a split stay.

I had trouble getting Thanksgiving week at my home resort back in February when we finally got our points. I am waitlisted for two other stays. I was able to get a 1BR Savannah view at Kidani. I check every day and most resorts have 1 day available so you could probably piece something together although switching resorts all the time might not be fun!

Don't totally rely on waitlists if you can stalk the website. I pulled nine nights together for our DIL's Mom so she can have her own studio when we have a 2BR Lock Off for Halloween. Though I had a waitlist, I found the nights one by one and finally got them all. Don't give up!

This! I'm not sure how long a room has to be open before it's swept into waitlists, but I have absolutely had a waitlist open for a night, checked the website on a whim, and booked it before my waitlist filled.

I've only ever had luck with stalking, not the waitlist, and found late evening to be a good time, I guess people discuss changing their plans in the evening, and change bookings.

As others have said book what you can and try and piece it together.

I looked and the best availability right now is 3 consecutive days in a SSR 1 bed. Wow, I didn't think SSR ever completely booked up.

Thank you all for sharing your tips and experiences, you’re giving me some hope! I’m going to put my stalking skills to work day and night as soon as I get my points in a few weeks! Worst case we have to push our trip back to MLK weekend.
