Thanksgiving week - anyone with us??

Hi Everyone!! We're leaving Saturday for 9 wonderful days in Disney World!! We're staying at Port Orleans - French Quarter (DD doen't know yet that we upgraded from the All Star - hehehe). I've barely started to pack, but I'm working on my lists so I don't forget anything!!

Anybody else going during this time?

We leave Tuesday. Everyone is finally well at our house, the forecast is looking up, and i am finally starting to get excited about this trip!!!

thanks! You guys have a great trip too. I had the flu (along with everyone else in the house) last week, and by Friday I was singled out for the special treat of an upper respitory infection. I told the doc "I have to be well for Disney" Fortunately he is "one of us" and understood, so After setroids and a stout antibiotic I am finally feeling human!!!

We also leave Saturday for 8 wonderful days in the World! We are staying at All Star Music and got a PIN code for free dining!

I hope we all have a wonderful time!

thanks! You guys have a great trip too. I had the flu (along with everyone else in the house) last week, and by Friday I was singled out for the special treat of an upper respitory infection. I told the doc "I have to be well for Disney" Fortunately he is "one of us" and understood, so After setroids and a stout antibiotic I am finally feeling human!!!

I know what you mean! LOL I had a sinus infection and DD had the flu - I told the doctor "do whatever you need to, we ARE going to WDW!" But I will still be taking my Emergen-C vitamin packets and plenty of wipes so we make sure we don't catch anything else

I am more than a little excited!!!!! Can't wait til Friday morning. To answer your question, we are not going to a park on Thanksgiving Day this year. Just going to Chef Mickeys for supper. I am considering a "Blizzard Beach Thanksgiving Day" but it depends on the weather. We have a few down time days so I am trying to figure out which will be the warmest/best weather day to hit the waterpark, if at all. Last year we went to MK at rope drop for Thanksgiving Day and left around 11 to go to Thanksgiving At the Fort (backyard BBQ). It was already pretty busy by the time we ducked out of MK to take the boat over to the Fort. We stopped back in to MK for a few minutes afterward, but it was pretty busy and we decided not to bother and went back to the room to watch football. Have fun!!!

On Thanksgiving we are going to Animal Kingdom, but it won't be a full day there. We are having dinner at Trails End at Fort Wilderness.

We are doing DHS on thanksgiving day, but plan on taking it easy and focusing on catching shows we want to see. It will be a laid back, do whatever day for us.

We are going to DHS for the morning of Thanksgiving until about 1:00 pm depending on crowds. We have a 2:30 ADR for Thanksgiving lunch at Kona Cafe. After that, we are going to tour the resorts to see the Christmas decorations. If it doesn't rain, and we aren't pooped, we might go to Ft. Wilderness to the Chip N Dale sing a long.

We are headed down on Wednesday! The girls (13, 9, 5)think they are going to Boston The excitement is killing us! and we are doing a Blizzard Thanksgiving Day as well

I just bought 100 more pins on ebay She'll be delivering them to the resort for me! She' great! I've already bought 100 pins (2 weeks ago) from her and got a bunch of hidden mickey / special pins!!

The Boston story is still holding up very nicely-even the teachers are "helping" out by giving the girls maps of Boston! We are starting off at BLT,hopping over to the Contemporary(we could not get a full week @ BLT) and ending up at the Boardwalk! I learned how to set my camera to take multiple shots because we don't want to miss a second of their reaction! What's even more special is that DD (13) best friend is already there with her family. so we set up a "meeting" as neither child has any idea the other will be there! Have a GREAT time at POFQ! One of my faves and so gorgeous during the holidays! Safe Travels!
