Thanksgiving week advice

We made reservations last week at SSR for Thanksgiving week - Mon - Fri. (SSR and OKW were the only resorts available) I thought about doing Tuesday -Saturday instead, but didn't really want to spend the points for the Fri. night stay. But now I'm wondering if we'll miss out on the holiday decorations if we leave on Friday - some of the posts indicate they put them up earlier and earlier every year - anybody know? And is it as crowded earlier in the week as it is later in the week? Thanks in advance.

I've been there the last 2 Thanksgivings, I think you'll find most of the Christmas decorations will be done. I'm now sure when the Osborne Festival of Lights at MGM start. But if they're on when your there it is definately worth seeing.
We usually go the Sat before and stay at CBR and then move over to BCV on sunday.
The parks aren't too bad sun-wed, but they get pretty busy Thanksgiving day and the day after.
I'll be at BCV again for Thanksgiving this year.
