I have heard many people say that you can often get a CM to book your ADR's from 190 days out. I finally tried it and was successful. My friend also was able to make her reservations early too. I wanted to post this here since we are traveling Thanksgiving week in which I know reservations go fast. I was able to get all my reservations but some of the times were not what I wanted. I couldn't believe that before the 180 day mark (and we are arriving the Sat before Thanksgiving) I had to settle for an ok time.

So for anyone traveling over Thanksgiving, give a call now. If you get a CM that wont do it for you, hang up and call back. I am happy to have gotten in early, but feel bad for everyone who waits for the 180 day mark and may find things all booked up.

I was dialing at 7:00 this morning and got all the ADR and times I wanted for Thanksgiving week (we are doing HDDR on Thanksgiving). The only thing I couldn't get was CRT and it looks like they don't open those tables until the 180 day mark.

Good luck to everyone!!

I called this morning also and got my ADR's. We come in on the 16th and leave the 20th, so we don't have to worry about all of the Thanksgiving week. And since I picked rather earlyish times, I got almost exactly what I wanted, even Le Cellier! The only one that I wanted, but didn't get was for Wolfgang Puck on the 19th. Their tables were not uploaded into the system, so I made an alternate choice for that night. CM told me to call back on Wednesday and I could drop one and add one then.

CM also told me that Le Cellier was completely booked for October and almost completely for beginning of November! She said it is almost as hard to get a table there as it is for CRT!

I've called twice this morning and they have both told me that I have to wait until the 180 day mark for ANY reservation.....am I saying or doing something wrong? It's driving me nuts! :rotfl2: Ireally want to book now for our trip 17th-22nd.
Also, what are good times to request reservations for brekfast and dinner, (least busy times?)
These are my choices so far....I keep changing my mind!
Chef Mickey b
1900 Park Fare d
Whispering Canyon d
Mama Melrose d
Sci-Fi

If I had to choose to pay out of pocket for one character breakfast which would you suggest?

Does CRT refer to breakfast only? My friend was able to book lunch in the Castle at 184 days from her check in. When she called yesterday morning, the earliest reservation she could get during Thanksgiving week was Friday. So it looks like the lunch reservations dont require 180 days from the reservation. Breakfast may be different.

Did you call today, May 20, for reservations on November 22? Or what day did you call for Thanksgiving Day?

My first day for ressies is Nov. 30...so my 180 days out is June 3. But if I can get in at 190 days...then that means I should be able to call this Thurs. May 24. Correct?

When I called today, they asked what resort I was staying at and what my reservation number was. Are you staying on property? Tomorrow is your 180 day, so you might have to wait just one more day! Here is what I got:

11/16 Chef Mickey --D (then on to MVMCP!)
11/17 Coral Reef -- D
11/18 Le Cellier!! --D (only 2 people, not 3, since DS is going to the Neverland Club for some R&R for Mommy and Daddy!)
11/19 Kona Cafe -- D

Most of my ADR's are for around 6:00 and there are only 3 of us, so that may be why it was easy to get what I wanted, etc.

If I had to pay OOP for a character meal, I would pick Chef Mickey, but Mickey is my fav character. I've done Crystal Palace and it was good too. I've never done one of the Princess breakfasts.

I made ADR's for Nov 17-23 and made these yesterday. My 180 will hit tomorrow. My friend made ADR's for Nov 19-25 and made those yesterday also. The first time I called the CM told me I needed to call back Monday, but I called again and the next CM made the reservations without any questions.

zulaya--Our Grand Gathering party begins to arrive on November 16, so our 180 day was today- May 20. You can only begin making ADRs 180 days out, BUT you get to book for 10 days after, so that is where the 190 confusion can be-- it is really 180 + 10. So... our ADRs could finally be made for November 16 and then they can go 10 additional days ahead which includes Thanksgiving.

onelovejw-- Since you arrive on the 17th, you should be able to book tomorrow morning for your ADRs and for 10 days after that too. Since you mention OOP, I assume you are staying at a WDW resort and that gives you the 180 + 10 option. Either they phrased it wrong to you, or were confused, but tomorrow is your day to start.

We got all of our ADRs including 1900 Park Faire for Thanksgiving morning and then HDDR at 5 pm- 1st tier seating! We are so excited. I will say that my TA could not do the ADRs for the last day of our trip as it is 11 days out. She can call to do the final day tomorrow. Sometimes I see people post that they were able to make them earlier than 180 days out, as renda460 did, but that is technically not correct. CMs that don't know might do it, but if the ressie info is in the computer correctly (since only people staying at WDW can do 180 + 10) they shouldn't be able to make ressies more than 180 days before you actually arrive. But it is great for those who do get them.

Good luck! Glad to see mumom95 is doing HDDR for T-Day too!!

:cloud9: I have been so worked up abour my ARD's. I have not been to WDW in 25 years, so really it is like my first time going. I was able to book everything we wanted for Thanksgiving and the CM was very nice and offered lots of helpful information.

Here is what we booked:
Wednesday - Arrive 10:30a.m. go to DTD Cirque Du Soleil 6:00p.m.
Thursday - LeCellier 6:30p.m.
Friday - Hollywood & Vine Character Lunch 11:45a.m.
California Grill 7:10p.m.
Saturday - Chef Mickey's Character Breakfast 7:00a.m.
Kona @ Poly 6:45p.m.
Sunday - Flying Home!!

:cool1: This is all for my Harrison :cool1:

Unfortunatley, it is totally (at least in my experience) hit and miss depending on the CM. I called last week and was able to make some of my ADRs for my trip (check in 11/20). My 180 days is not until 5/24. They just asked me for my confirmation number, checked it, and then let me make my ADRs. Then I called yesterday to make one for farther out than I could last week, and no dice, they didn't even ask me if I was staying onsite, just everything has to be 180 days. Then today I called, and was able to make reservations for 3 more days. :confused3 I am nervous because we have a group of 5 and it is harder to get reservations, at least in my experience.

Sometimes I wish I could request a name so I could get the same CM who makes the ADRs and not have to worry about it!!

I had no problem making my ADR's this AM for a check-in of the 17th...
I got everything I wanted! Our week is set!!! :goodvibes

I also got HDDR for Thanksgiving but the 7:15PM show. The only one I wasn't able to get was CRT on 11/19, I have to call back on Wed. for that one. My daughter is turning 18 and she requested Cinderella on her birthday!:cool2:

I'm confused. If you are going the week of Thanksgiving, and you mention you are arriving the Saturday before, this is your 180 day mark. We are heading down on Nov. 25th (a week after you) and our 180 day mark is next week. I used the calculator here on the DIS to determine the date. So you're not getting in at 190. You are at 180.

People saying 190 instead of 180 + 10 is what confuses others kelleigh. You are right. You can start making ADRs at the 180th day out and then at the same time, make them for 10 additional days. I remember how you used to have to call day after day at 7 am to get the Priority Seating you wanted... Unfortunately, some CMs have done earlier than 180 before arrival and some- as noted above- wouldn't do others within the 180+10 parameter. No wonder you are confused!!:thumbsup2

The confusion seems to be that some CMs allow people to make their ADRs at 190 days instead of 180 + 10. So some CM are letting people get away with making their ADRs 10 days before they are suppose to. That is why it's confusing and hit or miss on who gets to do it. Some CMs are breaking the rules or are simply confused by the rules and there are those who are taking advantage of this and calling hoping to get a CM that doesn't know that the rules are actually 180 + 10, not 190.

Hi we leave 11/18-26 and my husband is on the phone as we speak making ressies for our trip. Whew thank God!

I agree call NOW!!! We are also going for Thanksgiving (16-24). I called yesterday to make our first ADR. The wonderful lady let me book the entire week. Yes all were before the 180 day mark.
