My son's kindergarten class is having a Thanksgiving party - I volunteered to bring a snack and I have no idea what to bring - I was going to make some cupcakes but they prefer healthy snacks - any ideas??????
a "friendship mix". You can put in whatever you like: chocolate chips, cheerios, raisins, nuts (if no allergies) banana chips.. you could put them in some cute little thanksgiving cups or bowls.
Last year at my ds kindergarten Thanksgiving party one mom put thin carrot sticks inside of a medium dixie cup filled with some ranch & then taped a picture of a turkey on the front of the cup--the carrot sticks looked like its tail feathers! She said that she had to do a little searching on the computer to find a cute turkey picture but they turned out great & the kids loved them.
I'll be doing this one for the preschoolers this year!
In my first grade classroom I ask each child to bring in a small baggie of a snack item(goldfish, pretzel sticks, raisins, dry cereal, etc.) Then we talk about how one little bag of snack wouldn't be enough for all of us but that if we all share and contribute there will be moren than enough for everyone. We mix all the little bags together in a giant bowl and I scoop it up into paper cups to serve. The kids love it.
