We are thinking of making a second trip during Thanksgiving break. How are the crowds, the weather, and when do they put up Xmas decorations? We will be going from that wed. thru sat.

We have been twice during this time. We go to the parks Mon-Friday. I'll answer the questions as best I can;

weather: has been wonderful both visits. We wore shorts every day. If you have small children, they might need a light jacket or long sleeves in the mornings and evenings. Out of both trips, it only rained once for about 30 minutes. Great weather this time of year!!!

crowds: Mon-Wed are very managable. You will be there Wed-Sat. Expect crowds Thursday-Saturday. MK Thursday is wild- I've heard the other parks are not as bad. We like to do MK Thurs. because that is when the Christmas decorations are up in the parks. Definitely use EE and FastPass- and have a plan. Even on Thursday, we completed Fantasyland during EE. Just be prepared for crowds and you will be fine. I've never been Sat.- but I've heard from friends that MK is wild this day too!

Christmas decorations: The resorts are pretty well decorated by the time we arive. You might find some decorations around the parks. The magic is Thanksgiving Day. Before turkey day, MK- is pretty normal- as are the other parks. Thanksgiving morning it has been magically transformed into Christmas. Really amazing what they do in one night. All the parks are decorated Thanksgiving morning. That is one reason we love this time- you get to see the parks regular and decorated!

Good luck and we'll be there too!!!

Expect CROWDS and you will be fine! Especially at the MK. I'd highly suggest going on Wednesday, if at all possible.

The Friday after was an absolute nightmare for us at the MK, and I've heard that Saturday is just as bad or worse.

Decorations are gorgeous, and as the previous poster suggested, the other parks don't seem to be as congested.

MK on Wed. is advisable, or else go late afternoon on Thurs and stay away from Main Street at Spectro time.

Our itinerary from 1999
AK all day Sunday
MK Monday using EE, Epcot in the eve for ToN and IllumiNations
off-site touring Tuesday
Studios Wednesday, again EE, MK evening - very nice
AK late Thursday morning, movie at DTD and MK late afternoon (dinner hour was a madhouse as I said). After the parade and fireworks many guest go home. The park was open late and it wa nearly empty in Adventureland.
Friday morning Epcot for EE (and Test Track), evening at Studios for Fantasmic and Osborne lights (which I understand to be canceled this year :( )

Use fast pass and have fun. The decorations are up by week's end and it's so charming. It really got me more excited for Christmas, though I wasn't ready to go home and do any shopping ;)

We are also going at that time. After careful research, here's what we've got:

drive up Wed morning (3hrs)- check-in at WL -boat to MK!!! Activate passes, break, early dinner a WCC, back to MK.

Thurs- Epcot, leave mid-afternoon, Thanksgiving dinner at Chef Mickey's

Fri-MGM morning, break, Epcot Evening-Teppanyaki
Sat-AK morning , break, Artist Point/Cub's den
Sun (DS's 6th b-day)-EE at MK, break at WL, first night of MVMCP with dinner at LTT!

basically we are skipping the EE parks, with the exception of sunday. we are dong Epcot on Thanksgiving, since it is the least crowded park on any given day. We are also taking breaks.
We are avoiding MK thurs -sat. We will drive to parks to save time, except for boat to MK.
