This is our 1st family vacations to WDW (11/18-11/25) my ds is 5 and my dd is 3. I am really enjoying all the great information on this site.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about Thanksgiving at WDW? and any resturaunt recommendations for thanksgiving day on a budget?

Also, we are staying at the AllStar Movie resort but is it possible to spend time at another resort like the CBR? We are planning a day of rest and i thought it would be nice to bring my children to the beach area.

Thanks,

Kim

Best park to be at on a holiday would be EPCOT because it's the largest and can handle the crowd and of course everyone wants to be at MK on the big day so avoid where everyone else wants to be.......at EPCOT I would recommend Garden Grill for holiday dinner with Farmer Mickey.....book it now if it's for this year........if that's booked maybe you would want to dine at Crown and Rose in UK as a tribute to mother country of old.

Are you planning on this year? If so, get on the phone and check into what restaurants are still availabe. They book up fast for Thanksgiving Dinner.
My favorite was Chef Mickey's.
As for crowds....we went to MGM on Thanksgiving Day '04...it was really crowded. So, we just went back to our resort and hung out at the pool until dinner. After dinner, at Chef Mickey's, we headed to Epcot...it was crowded but nothing we couldn't handle. Wonder how AK is on T-Day?

I am definitely going to get on the phone today and see what is open. I just found out about this site, so I am getting a lot of useful information.

Thanks Again.

You can visit other resorts while you are there. Pool hopping is frowned upon, though. You can enjoy all three All Star resorts and their pools.

Yes, definitely get your Thanksgiving Day ADRs ASAP. I thought "outside the box" (I don't like that saying) and we're in at Cape May Buffet for the evening. We always do Epcot on Thanksgiving Day because it's a Thursday and that's an Off Kilter Day. So we're doing a late dinner just outside Epcot and then we can go back in for Illuminations. That's my recommendation.

:wave2: Hello from another Caitlin's mommy!!!

We are going to the Hoop De Doo review for TG dinner.. 2nd yr for this! But, we made ADR's for that last yr.
Thanksgiving is a great time to go, this is our 3rd TG in WDW.. it is perfect.. The weather is nice (70-80 day/ 50-65 night) and crowds are small up TIL thanksgiving day.. so, my advice would be to hit all you can up to TG day.. Then all you have to do is go back to whatever your favorites are. We will be one of the "crazy ones" at MK for TG day! But, we are also going on Tues, so we will cover all our "must do's" then, and basically go on TG day expecting crowds and just have fun.. But, i wouldn't personally want to be in any other park for TG day!!
(Oh, and the MK has a.m. EMH that day too!!) :thumbsup2

There are lots of great food options, but call NOW.
