Question...

What would be the cheapest way to go for Thanksgiving and stay about 5-6 nights. We were going to buy AP's - and we already have a ressie for Dec 8 - 14 at the Beach Club using the AP rate. We are considering, only considering, switching the dates.

Is there a good package for that time frame or does anyone else have any bright ideas.? Currently, our rate at the BC in December is $194 per night, and that includes tax.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

P.S. I'd just love to see Andy Garcia narrarate the Christmas Story.

I don't think you would be able to find anything at the WDW resorts for Thanksgiving even at rack rate. The only discounts we found for 11/26-11/30 was the AP rate at the Swan but we booked that a few months ago.

I too am fairly certain the WDW resorts are sold out for Thanksgiving. We booked about 6 months ago. There could be cancellations, but it may not be for the resort of your choice. We have been during that time in Dec and it was WONDERFUL. We are going to be fighting the crowds in Nov. though.::yes:: PS's for Thanksgiving would be hard to get at this late date also.
*PS-I just tried online and there are no rooms available*

I agree but you can still try here's some

Try AAA, Delta Airlines, and travel agents. From time to time they have custom Disney packages. Sometimes these companies have blocks of rooms with availability long after Disney itself has sold out.

I have booked rooms through Dreams Unlimited Travel (dreamsunlimitedtravel.com) although I am not sure whether they have blocks of rooms.

With a little car shopping (such as travelocity.com) I would expect that for 5 to 7 days renting a car and staying offsite will be cheaper than even the All Stars. Even at Thanksgiving I have also been able to find reasonably priced although spartan rooms at motels along Rte 192 near or just west of the main Disney entrance.
