Our ADR dates isnt until next month but I need to coordinate a dinner reservation for a larger group (likely around 11 people). We will have park tickets that day but may end up eating at a resort since most of the group will not have hoppers.

Some will want traditional thanksgiving food while others prefer the standard menu.

At this point I was thinking about either Ohana or Cape May. But both are pricey and I want to make sure I can please both the folks that want traditional turkey and those that want the standard menu.

Will Disney release their thanksgiving menus 180+ days out or will we be forced to guess?

Last year, I think they released them in November. I am not kidding, unfortunately.

You are going to have to base it on last year and guess. I can tell you that neither 'Ohana nor Cape May did turkey last year, and probably won't this year.

That stinks. With a party this size I will have trouble making a last minute change too. I'll talk to the group and we'll make an educated guess. Thanks for your help.

Trail's End does a great Thanksgiving with non-thanksgiving options. I would recommend it!

Tusker House and Boma are other options. I just like Trail's End because it's so Americana, and that feels right to me for a Thanksgiving. Call me a traditionalist.

We did thanksgiving in 2014 and the menus didn't come out until about a month before. I had read on the DIS that Whispering canyon cafe usually had a thanksgiving dinner so I booked it 180 days out. We ate there and they had the traditional turkey dinner. We wanted to do thanksgiving again in 2015, but we waited too long as we tried to make an ADR around July and it seemed all the best places were taken. For that many people be sure to make your reservation close to that 180 day mark.

We ran into this issue last Thanksgiving! In the end we just made reservations a) some place we wanted to go and b) some place we could get. Dinner reservations fill up SUPER fast. Figure out where you want to eat and go for it! That may mean lasagna instead of turkey, but it may be the highlight of the trip!
