Hello, we are visiting Disney this year at Thanksgiving and would like to find a restaurant that offers a traditional Thanksgiving meal. I've read some lists on various blogs through Google searches but I was hoping to get people's firsthand experiences/reviews of some of them. We will be arriving early in the day on Thanksgiving so I'll be looking to book a late lunch/dinner reservation once our 180 day window opens. We're staying at GF with three children and since we'll just be arriving I think we'd like to stick relatively close by and dine at either one of the hotels on the monorail route or at MK. Epcot might be a possibility as well. I have heard Liberty Tree Tavern is the go-to but also that it can be very crowded and rushed. I'm also thinking of Grand Floridian Cafe, Narcoossee's, and The Wave but I'm open to anything and want to hear what others' experiences have been. This is our first trip at Thanksgiving. Thanks!

I went to Citricos at the GF a few years ago on Thanksgiving Day. They served a wonderful plated traditional Thanksgiving meal. I will have to say my teenage boys did leave a bit hungry as portion sizes were on the small side. Yes, LTT is the go to as they serve their meal family style and it is all you care to eat.

Although taken from a website, not my own plate, this closely resembles the portion size at Citricos. My boys are all about mashed potatoes and stuffing! They each got a tiny squirt of each. Personally, I loved it and thought it was plenty. Instead of those carrots, it was green beans.

Have a great trip!

Last Thanksgiving we made a reservation for Wine Bar George in Disney Springs. They advertised a family style meal of turkey, green beans and either potatoes or stuffing (I don't remember which starch) plus pumpkin pie. We were anticipating a nice meal and surroundings however received a call from V+A that a table was available for us thus cancelled our WBG reservation.

The following month we returned to WBG to celebrate NYE and were quite pleased with our selection. Mostly ate small plates from the special menu that night but made sure to order an entree from the regular menu as well. We had a grilled fish dinner that included asparagus and a bean ragout. The fish was tender, simply prepared but tasty; same for the sides. Good service, relaxing atmosphere, great wine. We had asked to sit upstairs at a tabletop as opposed to a high top when we made the reservation and our request was honored (we'd already cased the joint out on a prior trip;)). Made for a great view of the fireworks w/o moving from our table.
I would have no problem booking another holiday meal here.

Errrrr... our T-Day meal at Victoria and Albert's also made for a memorable experience but lightened the wallet on a different level.

I know this is not close to where you are staying but Boma has the best Thanksgiving Day dinner!

I'm wondering this as well - we arrive on Thanksgiving morning too. I am considering Jiko, since we are staying at the AKL and its always been a favorite of ours. Wondering if anyone has eaten there on Turkey Day that can let me know if there was any special menu for the holiday?

Not where you’re staying, but the Garden Grove at the Swan was great. It had the traditional offerings including a turkey carving station as well as some non-thanksgiving items. It was nice since it was a buffet it felt like a meal at home where you could go up and get more. It also had characters

THIS! We had a 6 pm dinner reservation at BOMA on Thanksgiving and it was awesome! We were staying at the GF and took the bus over to arrive at 5 pm. We walked around the resort to see the animals and then got drinks at the bar and sat in the awesome lobby until dinner. The huge tree was beautifully decorated and we just enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel lobby. Dinner was fantastic- so many options, plus carved turkey and all the traditional fixings. Perfect since some of us wanted traditional, and others did not.

Oh, and one more thing to add to my above post- we Ubered back to GF after dinner for $15 which was well worth it, and the Grand Floridian Cafe did offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal as well if you really do not want to leave the GF for dinner. But taking the bis to AKL only took 20 minutes and the kids would really enjoy all the hotel has to offer.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness lodge is great

Smoked turkey and all the fixings

+1 for Whispering Canyon Cafe! We liked it so much we went for a regular dinner and then again for Thanksgiving dinner. You will not go hungry, and your 1yo is "free". Not only excellent turkey, but also ham and all the sides and a bunch of desserts. They also do a vegetarian version with gardein products. It was a great atmosphere for little kids, as well. If you go, make sure to go a little earlier so you can look around the resort. It will be decorated for Christmas and it was gorgeous.

Getting there from Grand Floridian is a little harder, but you can take the monorail to the Contemporary or to MK and then get a boat. The boat ride is part of the experience.

The Wave was fantastic for Thanksgiving this year. Believe it was $35 per adult and including an appetizer/salad bar, dessert bar and one plated entree (Traditional dinners, pastas, steaks).

Did not eat there on T-day, but the day after, in 2018. I don't recall the menu, but they did have a special menu..
