On Thanksgiving we will have a “resort day” and are staying at BLT. What are your very favorite places to eat on the monorail loop or in general for thanksgiving dinner without going into a park. Bonus for great vegan option. TIA

Not on the monorail, but easy to get to from BLT - I would recommend Whispering Canyon at WL (walk to MK and take the boat) - the resort has a cozy atmosphere and they offer skillets, including a plant-based one. If you want something more upscale, I would consider Citricos at GF.

Can't speak to Thanksgiving specifically (not sure if you're looking for a traditional turkey dinner for the non-vegans), but the regular menus at both Citricos and Narcoossee's at Grand Floridian are outstanding.

Steakhouse 71 has a traditional Turkey Day menu, but not sure on the vegan part or if the whole menu still available.

We love Boma for Thanksgiving. I believe they had vegetarian options. My other family members have food allergies and a chef takes them around the buffet to show what they can have and also makes things for them in the back.

I guess doesn’t have to be traditional turkey meal but something fun for our last dinner in WDW. I forgot to mention there is a 7 year old and will be almost 3 year old at time of travel.

Yes love Boma but will try to stick to non bus travel options for this day.

We got the holiday dinner to go from the Contempo Cafe and had a lovely quiet meal together in our villa. It was a full Turkey meal and I thought everything had great flavor.

We had a Thanksgiving meal at California Grill. I can't remember if that was pre-pandemic (2019) or more recently. I think it was a special event earlier in the day, so it might not have been a full-day Thanksgiving menu. You can expect most places to have something special happening that day.

Not sure if they have vegan options, but we did Hoop De Doo for Thanksgiving 2022 and had so much fun! It was their regular dinner, nothing extra for Thanksgiving.

In general, I really like Whispering Canyon, including some of the meat and plant-based options, but I had their Thanksgiving meal and didn't care for it. Was disappointed. I'd choose something else for Thanksgiving dinner, and would visit Whispering Canyon for a different meal. Maybe check out some of the Disney Springs restaurants, if you can compromise on riding a bus. Or take the boat to Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness.

We're hoping to do the same thing! Do you mind me asking how difficult it was to get a reservation for Thanksgiving day last year?

I think we did our reservation for it at 6am on the day we could reserve dining. Thanksgiving would have been the 6th day of our stay. We did category 2 but I’m pretty sure all options were available when I booked it.

Great, thanks for the info!
