We are planning on booking a week long stay in our RV at Fort Wilderness for Thanksgiving 2017. I have my 499 day out date marked on the calendar! This will be our first Thanksgiving dinner away from home. We are a family of 4, with no food allergies, and we are not picky eaters. Our kids will be 15 and 12 by next year's trip, and eat only off the adult menu at this point. I have looked over the restaurants that typically offer Thanksgiving dinner. If you have eaten Thanksgiving dinner at WDW, can you please tell me where you ate and how you liked it? I have done well with Diser's recommendations in the past! Thanks for your help!

Does it have to be a traditional Thanksgiving dinner? I was thinking HDDR would be fun. There's fried chicken (in place of turkey?), and the show is super-fun. I'm sure they'll do something to honor the holiday as part of the show.

We opted not to try to mirror our traditional Thanksgiving dinner when we when they during that Holiday. We went to the Spirit of Aloha. It was fun!

We had Thanksgiving dinner last year at the Garden Grille. We already knew what to expect and figured it would be fun.
I really wanted Liberty Tree Tavern but couldn't get in there. Our meal was the typical GG menu which included turkey. Everyone enjoyed it as we usually do. We were a little surprised that other than adding turkey to some of the menus, Thanksgiving doesn't really seem to be much of a big deal at WDW. It seemed like just another day.

Thanks so much for the thread! Very helpful! My guys will definitely want a traditional meal, so we will aim for that if possible.

We will be staying for the first time at WDW for Thanksgiving this year! We will be going to the Boma buffet. While is is not an "official" Tday restaurant, they should have some themed food offerings! But I can't offer any first hand advice yet!

We ate there this past Thanksgiving and loved it! They had a nice mix of Thanksgiving food and African food.

we were at Disney two Thanksgivings ago and we had Thanksgiving lunch at Coral Reef. It was meh, not something I'd recommend. I had the traditional turkey meal and while it was delicious, everything else was lacking. Our twin teens ordered seafood off the menu and the portions were tiny, blah, and overall disappointing. We felt rushed, service was terrible, and never had one refill. We probably were in and out of that restaurant in 45 mins, minus $125.

We ended up buying snacks the rest of the day and ordered a pizza from POR and enjoyed it by the pool later that evening. Now that was awesome!

The Pizza by the pool part sounds like an awesome Thanksgiving!

We were at WDW last Thanksgiving and ate dinner at the Garden Grove in the Swan hotel. It was wonderful! A nice buffet with something for everyone. As a bonus, there were Disney characters. It was reasonably priced compared to the other Disney buffet options.

We called the Swan and book directly thru them. They emailed me our confirmation along with the menu. This location would be convenient if you were at either Epcot or the Studios that day.

We would not hesitate to eat Thanksgiving dinner there again.

Can't speak from personal experience, but a few years ago Kevin Klose of the DISUnplugged podcast did a review of Brown Derby's Thanksgiving dinner, and it sounded delicious. That's where I'd eat for Thanksgiving at WDW.
