Where would be the best place to have Thanksgiving Lunch or Dinner?
Debating on if we should bother with the park or not that day.
TIA

Sorry in advance, this really won't answer your question but might be of some help. I think it is kind of late in the game to book for Thanksgiving, especially in the parks. You should really check to see what, if anything is available and then plan from there. Hope that helps and i hope you find a great reservation for that day. :thumbsup2

You should make an ADR today! Be ready for anything because there is not much left at this point...You can make your ADR without deciding if you are going to use the plan or not...You can say no plan now...And you can choose to it on later and use the credit during your meal...One does not have to do with the other...

Good luck! Let us know how you did.

We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Boma's in 2006. There was Turkey and all the fixings in the buffet Plus plenty of other items. We also had butternut squash soup which was fabulous! Lots of desserts too. My Family likes to eat lots on Thanksgiving and Boma works for that. We did Animal Kingdom during the day then went to Boma around 5:30ish for dinner. After our Thanksgiving dinner we went and saw the Osbourne lights which I highly recommend. Hope you get the reservation you want! Happy planning.

As other posters have said, most of the first choice restaurants are probably already fully booked. But that doesn't mean that people won't change their plans and cancel as we get closer to Thanksgiving. Your best bet is to call today and book whatever is available at an acceptable time to you. Since it is a holiday and you will need to give a credit card, this will actually work to your ADVANTAGE. Look around and find three or four restaurants you'd really like to dine at. Then call everyday to see if there's a cancellation. Since everyone that booked a reservation for Thanksgiving day had to give a credit card number, they are more likely to call immediately to cancel if they have a change of plans. On a normal day, people are less likely since there's no financial incentive to make someone notify Disney that they are not planning to make their reservation. It might take plenty of phone calls, but something might pop up. Good Luck!:goodvibes

If you can, Liberty Tree Tavern's food is Thanksgiving holiday fare.

Best wishes with wherever you make arrangements -- do make them ASAP. For most of them, you don't need a credit card. Then if you want to cancel, you can, but you'll know you have the ADRs.

Credit cards are not required at every restaurant on Thanksgiving.

We prefer to avoid the parks that day with the exception of EPCOT World Showcase. As the others said, call WDW and ask the CM to list all restaurants available on Thanksgiving.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys our choices seem to be Wolfgang puck and Bier Gardens.
How bad is epcot on Tday? We didn't want to waste a day packed like sardines at MK or something and didn't want to take the chance of going in a park and then not being able to get back in. Would Epcot be that packed?
And they didn't ask for a CC to hold them :D

The good thing about Epcot is that it is so big that even when it is very crowded you do not feel it like the other parks...However, you will have to use Fastpass if you plan on hitting any rides...

This really comes down to how you want to use your time...You can eat at DTD then head to a couple of resorts to see the decorations...Or you can go to Epcot and if it really to much for you, just leave after you eat...And again you can take the monorail to other resorts to see their decorations....You also walk over to the Boarwalk for some fun and the Beach Club to see their lobby after Epcot....If the weather is good that is a nice way to spend an evening.

Have you tried a resort restaurant for dinner? We had dinner last year at Jiko. It was great. What about eating early then heading out for the parks? MK & Epcot are the most crowded on holidays.

We have been at Thanksgiving many times. First of all, all of the hotels in the past have served a Thanksgiving meal at the cs. NOT that it is a fancy meal, but you will get Turkey, etc. if that is what you're looking for. One year we went to the Crystal Palace on Thanksgiving. We loved it! I think you're probably safe at any restaurant that serves American Cuisine. You could always call the restaurant to be sure. Use the online search for that week and see if you get enough reservations before you sign up for dining OR call a phone CM and check before you sign on the dotted line.
