Hello all,

We are planning a trip with our 13 year old Nephew over thanksgiving (we are arriving on Thanksgiving morning) and thought since we are missing the big Thanksgiving feast, we would do a really special meal that night.

We had considered the California Grill with Wishes, but I would like as much input as possible.

Has anyone had Turkey Day in WDW? Where did you go? What could make it really special?

Can't reply on if it would be special or not, but this past Thanksgiving our family of 11 ate at Boma in AKL. They added traditional holiday items to all their usual buffet items. Everyone thought it was great and not one complaint from anyone.

It was also nice afterwards to walk around the lodge and out back to the firepit and savannah area for a view of some animals coming up for night feeding. The whole area has an exotic feel to it. It did turn out special for us, our 1st TG in disney.

If you want a traditional turkey day meal try Liberty Tree Tavern at MK. They serve the traditional meal every day of the week and we really liked it last September when we went. It was very laid back and the characters came around 3 times while we were there (we were there eating for about an hour). Some people complain about it tasting like it came from a box but I thought it was really good.
