For those of you that had Thanksgiving dinner in Disney, where did you eat? How was it? Would you recommend it for a large family gathering next year? Thanks!!!

We went for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern - it was delicious back then - we ate there last year and didn't care for it as much....not sure if anyone has had a recent experience.

The atmosphere is great for Thanksgiving!

This won't be of any help but. One year my daughter and nice both were working at Disney (daughter-Prime Time, niece Ariel-parade) so we had Thanks Giving on Wednesday with all there friends that work at Disney.
Well we spent Thanks Giving at the Parks. Well Fantasy Land was so packed they we're not letting anyone to even pass though. We headed to Animal Kingdom and we ate at Pizzafari. They had a Thanks Giving pizza special. It was one of the best Thanks Giving I remember. Not that the pizza was so good but I was in Walt Disney World and I had so much to be Thankful for.

just got back this AM. didn't have t-day dinner at LTT but had monday dinner there and it was fabulous and highly recommended if you can get in next year. book early b/c fills up fast.

We ate our Thanksgiving dinner at Kouzinna. OMG!!! It was fabulous. First, it was a buffet and I wasn't expecting that. All of the traditional t-giving items were served....carved turkey, amazing mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, cranberries, etc. They also had some greek style sides....marinated olives, pita and hummus, taziki (sp?), greek salad. The only mis-step was a beef dish. Honestly, we were a bit unsure of having our Thanksgiving dinner at Kouzinna, but it was a very pleasant surprise!

We had dinner at Ohana for Thanksgiving this year. It was served family style, and it was bread, salad, white and dark meat turkey with gravy, green beans, stuffing, white and sweet mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and of course their bread pudding with ice cream. We thought the meal was great. Here is a pic of the main platter.

We just got back on Saturday & has Tgiving at 1900 Park Fair at the GF. It was buffet style as is typical there, but the food was great. Traditional choices of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes etc, but also has some nice meats at the carving station as well as some other items to give you lots of options. Desserts were great. All in all very happy with the choice. The characters made it a really fun dinner as well. Prince Charming really gave my 13 year old DD a fun time, one she or us wont soon forget. Hope that helps.

Last year we ate at Captain's Grille and I had that booked for this year but was able to switch it a few days before Thanksgiving to Biergarten (didn't want to take a chance at Captain's Grille's *special holiday offering*). Biergarten was great. They had turkey which was so moist and yummy, green beans, gravy, and the rest of their normal offerings. The entertainment was great too. Love the Biergarten!

A large group of us had Thanksgiving dinner at Biergarten in Germany in Epcot. When I found out where we were eating, I was a bit disappointed, but it turned out to be a wonderful experience! The food was wonderful (both the German buffet and the added American Thanksgiving foods). It was fun and relaxed and a great place for our group. I hope to return there for Thanksgiving in the future!

Since we made a last minute reservation, our choices were limited. We ate at Wolfgang Puck Cafe, and, sadly, the turkey was very try and tasteless. DH had the salmon and we were all jealous. 2 years ago we had Thanksgiving at Kona--that was great! I did notice that the Cali Grill had a beautiful Thanksgiving menu and if we go again and are on the meal plan, we will go for that.

We just got back and we (family of 4) had Thanksgiving Dinner at Crystal Palace at MK.
First the good - they had a good selection of food, and everything I tried was good. They also had a lot of desserts to choose from.
When we checked in we were told they were running 45 minutes behind (this was about 4:50pm), so we were really surprised when our beeper went off about 5 minutes later. We were seated even before our official reservation time.

The bad - when we went to be seated there was a lady blocking the front door complaining about how long they had been waiting - more than an hour. They explained to her that it took extra time to free up enough tables for groups of 10 or more and it would be about 15 more minutes. This lady was very angry and kept arguing, leaving us standing there waiting to get past and feeling slightly guilty. When we finally got past her, we were seated on the side with the windows where everyone who is still waiting outside is standing and looking in. This kind of put a damper on what we had hoped would be a great experience.

I would not try to eat here on a Holiday if I had a group that required more than 2 tables.

We ate lunch at LeCellier, and we loved it. They basically had most of their dinner menu plus a Thanksgiving dinner option all day long, so we thought we got a great deal eating there for lunch.

I chose the trio of cheddar cheese soup, Thanksgiving dinner (turkey, dressing, cream cheese mash, gravy, green beans almondine and candied sweet potatoes) and pumpkin creme brulee. DS chose the trio of cheddar cheese soup, salmon two ways and pumpkin creme brulee. DD had the same thing, but with pumpkin sorbet for her dessert. DW had the filet with risotto and pumpkin creme brulee. The only disappointment was DW's filet, which was too tough for her liking--but that was because she ordered it medium well, which IMHO is too done for a filet. Everything else was what we'd come to expect from LeCellier over the years--great food with exceptional service.

I would totally NOT recommend Whispering Canyon Cafe. We are big fans of this restaurant but Thanksgiving dinner here was HORRIBLE beyond belief!!!! The food was not good at all. I think the only edible items were the ham and stuffing. The service was horrible, but you can't blame that on the place. Bree was having a bad day, bad life, bad shoes, whatever. But if you ever get seated in her area, run!!!

Can you tell how disappointed we were?

We ate at Hollywood and Vine with the Fantasmic Pkg. I was very nervous to eat there...read horrible reviews online.

BUT, our food was very very VERY good!!! Turkey, potatos, stuffing, salmon, tons of salads, veggies and strawberry shortcake that could have been a meal in itself. :) Our waitress was fabulous!!! We had a group of 12 and she was so on top of things...filling drinks, clearing plates, etc. We ate at 340pm....was a nice time. Not too busy or anything. And the Fantasmic tix were such a nice added bonus!!!

We ate at Prime Time and the holiday special plate was wonderful! It had moist turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing and green beans. The pumpkin pie was one of the best I have had.

Thanks everyone for your advice on Thanksgiving dinner in the world! It will be a large group of us next year and I am glad to have a few places to try for. Thanks again!

I think for holidays to remember that many of the restaurants have a special menu. Theoretically, you can get a turkey dinner at the value food courts or at a more upscale place, they will all have turkey for Thanksgiving.

I would hate to go to 'ohana expecting carnivore night and find traditional turkey.

Good to know who had some of the original menu offerings along with the holiday menu :upsidedow
